Some of it is wonderful like the different birds and rabbits and squirrels you may see around the neighborhood. There are also quite a lot of small lizards to be found depending on the time of year and plenty of different kinds of crawling and flying bugs. As responsible hosts, we have regular Pest Control to service the property. This does a decent job of keeping the critters from coming inside, but you will likely see them in the yard or on the patio at times. Seeing them inside or around the home is not considered a reflection of the cleanliness of the property and refunds are not given for this reason. Let us know if there seems to be an unusual issue, and we're happy to send pest control out for a touch up or the cleaning crew depending on what is needed. brbrOur neighbors have outdoor cats that do occasionally roam through our backyard. They run away as soon as they see humans, so you probably won't see them much. You might occasionally spot a bit of their leavings in the yard. We do our best to keep it cleaned up, but they are around a lot. The wonderful thing about having them nearby is they help keep pests away! Some of our neighbors also have dogs. They are kept behind a fence, so you probably won't see them much. If they spot you in the yard, they might give a few barks since they won't recognize you. brbrIf you have a fire in the firepit, please COMPLETELY extinguish it with a lot of water before you leave it unattended. There should be absolutely no hot or glowing pieces left in the pit after you extinguish it.brbrKids should not be left alone anywhere on the property. Please always have an adult around with the kiddos.brbrFor your safety and the security of the property, there are security cameras which record audio and video. There is a front door camera, a driveway camera, a patio camera, and a backyard camera. Do not touch or attempt to disable the cameras.brbrThe guest house plumbing drain goes through a lift pump before entering the sewer. In the unlikely event of a power outage, the lift pump cannot operate, and guests would need to only use the sinks/bathrooms in the main house.brbrIf you're bringing a baby or very small child, we can have baby equipment delivered for your stay from a provider such as BabyQuip. There would be a rental fee charged to you for this service.
