Townend Barn is detached and situated in an acre of grounds with Townend House the village of Lydford. The barn is situated behind the main house and the parking is off road. Beautifully converted to a high standard, the barn is open plan but intimate and heated by storage heaters and a very efficient wood burning stove. There is a grand piano to play, two bookcases filled with interesting books for you to enjoy; original paintings and wooden animal head sculptures decorate the walls. Lydford has no street lighting so after an evening meal at one of the three good restaurants in the village you can walk home without worrying who is going to drive. Lydford is a thriving working village and an ideal base from which to have a relaxing and interesting time. The moor is only 15 minutes walk.
