Town: Okehampton is a busy market town near the highest and most dramatic areas of Dartmoor, where Yes Tor rises above 2000 feet. North of Okehampton are beautiful rolling Devon hills with small farming villages nestled among woods and fields and rivers. The fabulous Roadford Reservoir offers a variety of watersports and fishing. Also in Okehampton is the Museum of Dartmoor Life (where Tourist Information is) and Okehampton train station, which has been restored to 1950s glory, running trains along a scenic route to Meldon, southern England's highest station.
