Lobhill Stable offers self catering accommodation for two people.

A large double/twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and a well equipped kitchen.

Dogs are welcome by arrangement. There is a charge of £20 per dog for the first day and £5 per day thereafter. Please pay by cash on arrival, thank you.

A family run bed and breakfast, self catering cottage and luxury lodge, Lobhill Farmhouse, Stable Cottage and Lew Valley Lodge offer a warm welcome, quality accommodation and a relaxed and peaceful stay in a stunning location.

Situated in the Lew Valley this beautiful farmhouse and cottage is perfectly located for visiting Devon and Cornwall. Both the rugged north coast and the gentle south coast are easily accessible and glorious Dartmoor is just three miles away.

For my Bed and Breakfast visitors breakfast is served in the large farmhouse kitchen with a choice of an Aga cooked Full English Breakfast or a lighter option. The majority of ingredients are locally sourced with the eggs being laid just metres away by the hens in the family’s vineyard. Special dietary requirements can be catered for.
Visitors are welcome to enjoy the large garden and relax in the summer house or wander through the woodland, with views of the vineyard and walk further on to the lakeside.

Walkers and nature lovers will find a little bit of heaven on the door step. The 38 acre wood and surrounding farmland with the family's vineyard and Alder lake is wondrously peaceful, a paradise for bird watchers. There are also a number of superb walks on and around Dartmoor and many designated and planned routes locally such as The Two Castles Trail, a 24 mile walk between Okehampton and Launceston Castles.

Lobhill Farmhouse is also close to the Sustrans National Cycling Network, Route 27 also known as the Devon Coast to Coast which includes the converted railway path, the Granite way. About 30 minutes away is the Camel Trail at Padstow, one of the most popular recreational routes in the country, passing through the wooded countryside of the upper Camel Valley and alongside the 3

A comfortable, spacious little holiday home overlooking the courtyard, garden and enchanted forest, charming, attentive hosts, delicious breakfast with homemade orange marmalade and Cat Stevens playing on the romantic record player... highly recommended! Thank you Jane and Maggie.

The property is stunning, with a wonderfully kept garden that invites you to linger and enjoy the atmosphere. Our accommodation was thoughtfully furnished and felt very inviting, with a newly renovated and stylish bathroom. The bed was spacious and comfortable, though the mattress could have offered a bit more support for my personal preference. Above all, the service was excellent—attentive, kind, and very welcoming throughout our stay.

We were very impressed about the location; we rented the cottage; it´s very nicely furnished and offers plenty of space for 2 people. Everything is very clean. The breakfast in the farmhouse was delicious. The guest area - inside and outside there is also very lovingly and uniquely decorated. Our host was very friendly and helpful; her tips for pubs and excursions were just right for us. We would love to come back.

This is our third year of coming here. Year 1 we stayed in The White Room- lovely comfy room, gorgeous views from the bedroom window, excellent breakfast. Year 2 in The Cottage, self catering. Quiet, relaxing with its own patio plus all the other sitting areas in the garden . This year in The Lodge, a 2 bedroom, 2 bath sumptuous retreat. Elevated wide terrace enjoys incredible, Dartmoor views Jane is a treasure. Welcoming, helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Easy access moor and coast.

Bed large and comfortable. Cottage very clean, welcoming and well presented. Lovely patio and garden area which we were unable to appreciate due to the weather. Jane was very welcoming on our arrival, even meeting us with an umbrella to save us from getting wet. Hope to go back in better weather to really appreciate the garden and weather. Variety of teas and the jar of fudge were very nice.
