A superbly equipped historic property with stunning open countryside views across the beautiful gardens and the River Kent to the Helm where an Iron Age fort existed. Part of a large Victorian country manor house built in the 1850's, this house combines original period charm (fireplaces, mantles, cornicing, chandeliers and much more) with modern conveniences (high end appliances, new kitchen & bathrooms). Your whole group will be comfortable in this extremely spacious peaceful and unique house.brbrWhere will you sleep This house has four bedrooms, each with lovely views of countryside or the old Victorian manor house. There are four full bathrooms, two en suite. One bedroom can be made up as a two twins or a zip-linked super-king. The 3rd floor is a private oasis of bed/bath (the bathroom was made out of the original thick, slate water tank for the whole house). Period features such as fireplaces in every room abound juxtaposed with John Lewis mattresses, high quality bedding, thick fluffy towels.brbrWhere will you socialize There are two sitting rooms, one huge with original marble fireplace, period chandelier, giant windows with stunning views. One smaller, beautifully decorated ladies' sitting room is a charming, calm oasis with steps out to the truly special garden. brbrAn eat-in kitchen has all the appliances (two dishwashers!) and extras you could want (including a steam oven).
