Goonhavern itself has a fantastic pub called The New Inn, serving great food and is just a minute walk away. There is also an exceptionally well stocked local convenience store and post office, a kids play park and a pump track, all just a couple of minutes walk away.brbrThe Saints Trail, open recently, is a walking and cycle trail that takes you to Perranporth. It takes about 45 minutes walking and around 20 minutes on a bike. A great facilty and safe for kids as there is no traffic.brbrJust a few meters from Cornerways is a bus stop where you can get regular buses to Perranporth, Newquay and Truro, Cornwall’s only city. They start from around 07:00 and run until about 22:00.brbrGoonhavern is centrally located in Cornwall to explore the rest of the county. Truro, our cathedral city is about 8 miles away and well worth a day trip. Padstow to the north, home to Rick Steins’ Seafood Restaurant and St Ives to the west where you can visit the Tate gallery are both only 30 minutes by car as is Falmouth on the south coast where you could see anything from small yachts to cruise ships and everything in between!
