Beautiful Cottage in Looe

This delightful cottage on West Looe Hill is a popular choice for lots of our guests. Just a short walk from the river's edge in West Looe and yet far enough out of town to avoid the hustle and bustle at busy times of the year. The cottage is beautifully put together and will offer a comfortable stay all year round. The stylish lounge on the ground floor is a welcoming room with original stone walls, beamed ceilings and a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings in. To the rear of the cottage is a small but well-equipped kitchen which includes a gas oven, grill and hob, fridge, freezer and washing machine. There is a small dining area off the kitchen with a table and four chairs.Upstairs are the two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and the twin room has 2'6 beds which are considered more suitable for children. Beds, bedding and towels are all of high quality to ensure a comfortable night's sleep. The family bathroom is a good size and has a bath with an electric shower over, WC and wash hand basin. To the rear of the cottage is a terraced garden and at the top is a Summerhouse and outdoor seating area with fire pit from where you can see the sea. There are some preliminary outside photographs which are wet and wintery but give guests an idea of the space. In the Summer months the garden is bathed in sunshine throughout the day and is a lovely spot to just sit and relax.The delights of Looe are just a short walk down the hill. The popular Jolly Sailor pub is two minutes away as well as West Looe General Stores which is a great little delicatessen-style shop. When the tide is in you can hop on the foot ferry across to the East side of Looe, or the walk round takes 10 minutes where there are numerous more shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs as well as the main sandy beach.

Sleeping 9 in five bedrooms and welcoming up to 2 well behaved dogs this is the perfect house for making memories as a family in Cornwall.brGround floor accommodation comprises a modern kitchen with double ovens, hob, extractor, fridge freezer and dishwasher, an utility room off the kitchen houses a washing machine and tumble drier. The main living space is a large room with comfortable leather sofas, flat screen TV, open fire place and large farmhouse style dining table which comfortably seats 9. The living area extends in to a conservatory with additional soft seating and access out to the extensive deck, garden and down on to the beach. The sea views from the conservatory and outside areas are spectacular taking in Looe Bay from Hannafore and the island right around to the East and all along the coastline to Rame Head. The family bathroom on the ground floor has bath and separate large shower cubicle. Upstairs are the bedrooms, two doubles overlooking the beach, a single again overlooking the beach and two further rooms at the back, one double and one twin room. There is also a separate toilet.brPlaidy beach is dog friendly all year round and is a mixture of sand and shingle. When the tide is out there are numerous rock pools to explore and a large flat sandy area perfect for those who wish to paddle and swim. The walk in to Looe is approximately 20 minutes along the coastal path or at low tide guests can enjoy the walk in along the beach. Alternatively Millendreath is the next cove to the East (a 10 minute walk) where the Black Rock Cafe and Beach Bar are situated. It is also possible to hire paddle boards, kayaks, body boards wet suits etc during the Summer months at Millendreath.brThere is parking for one car outside the property and additional spaces available within a one minute walk on request.
