Cabin was beautiful and extremely comfortable in every room.

Staying at this Fairbanks cabin was unforgettable, from watching the northern lights right from the bedroom to relaxing on the deck under the glowing sky. We loved exploring everything nearby—dogsled races, the World Ice Art Championships, the UA Museum of the North, and even day trips to Denali and the North Pole. The cabin itself was incredibly comfortable, with a well‑stocked kitchen and thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. It was the perfect base for an amazing Alaska adventure.

Our family loved staying here! The check in was easy with clear instructions and we found the home clean and everything working well. Our children really enjoyed playing in the snow surrounding the home. It was quiet and the surroundings are beautiful! We watched the Aurora Borealis both nights we were there with clear skies from the front of the house. I highly recommend staying here.

Very nice property that was thoughtfully stocked and furnished. Scenic location but still convenient to town and services. We were able to see the Northern Lights on several different nights from the back deck and upstairs windows. We were very pleased with this home.

5th VRBO in the Fairbanks area that we’ve stayed in and by far the best. Great location and fully stocked with nice amenities, the cabin had everything a guest could want with wonderful charm.

Your beautiful home was perfect for our family Christmas vacation. It was cold during our visit but the home was always warm and inviting for our return from our daily activities. The location is just a few minutes from town. The home has everything you need, towels, a well stocked kitchen and plenty of hot water for showers. The hosts were terrific with communication and answered all my questions with regards to the home and the local area. WE are already planning a return to AK and when in Fairbanks this now our home away from home thanks to Spencer and Meera. Happiest of New Years!

It was a home with a great vibe. Good location and the best was northern lights in the front yar.

This cabin was superior! Clean, attractive, and well located North of Fairbanks. It had everything we needed and more. The master bedroom and upstairs hall windows were well located for checking for Northern Lights. When we saw them from upstairs we went to the front porch for viewing! The Auroras were active 3 of 6 nights, but 2 of those nights were too cloudy to see them, which is fairly typical and why we booked 6 nights! Also, great communication with hosts before and during our trip.

We had a wonderful three day stay at the Comfy Caribou Lodge. The house is new, well-furnished, amply-supplied and just right for Alaska. The owners communicated with us before, during and after our stay and there were no issues or concerns. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed the view from every window - we didn’t have time or weather to enjoy the decks, but they are very nice. I took a long walk one evening along the country roads in the area and watched for moose, but missed them, apparently. We saw the aurora one night, which was on our bucket list. We highly recommend this rental.

Fairest of the fair in Fairbanks!Absolutely perfect! The kitchen was stocked and clean. The entire cabin was spotless. Our hosts were so easy to deal with and helpful. It was nice to come “home” and relax on the deck after a great day of fishing and sightseeing.

Unfortunately our stay at this property was extremely disappointing. On arrival we found major plumbing issues: the master bathroom had intermittent hot water and very low flow, making showers nearly impossible. The upstairs toilet backed up even with minimal paper. When we contacted the host, we were asked to troubleshoot late at night by running between sinks. Rather than take responsibility they told us we should lower our expectations because we were not in the lower 48. The water problems persisted throughout our stay and we declined to have a plumber invade our vacation.The house itself is not well built. The queen bed in one room collapsed under normal use; we were simply getting in and out of bed. The hosts accused us of breaking it without considering that it may be poorly constructed. Despite cleaning the cabin thoroughly before we left, we were told we left it filthy and were charged an excessive cleaning fee which we have disputed.Finally, there are Ring cameras at the front and back that are close enough to hear conversations if you open a window, which felt intrusive. Overall, the lack of basic maintenance, poor customer service, and surveillance cameras made this a stressful stay. I cannot recommend this rental.

If you're looking to stay anywhere in the Fairbanks area, this is the place. Secluded location, yet close to town. Beautiful rustic design with modern amenities. View from back deck is amazing—an evergreen forest. Signage throughout the cabin was very helpful. Great water pressure. These folks have thought of everything. Great hosts and communication.

The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! Felt like we were away from everything but close enough to get to places. Interior was decorated very well and furniture was comfy. The welcome bag of snacks and drinks was really nice, especially after a late arrival. It was very roomy for our family of 5. We had an issue with hot water on our last night but the owner was very quick to call me! Unfortunately we had a lot of rain during our stay so we didn’t get to use the outdoor furniture but it looked very nice and I imagine it would have been excellent to relax on! I’ll definitely keep this place in mind for our next visit!

The cabin was beautiful! The owners were very thoughtful, we had a wonderful welcome note along with some great snacks waiting for us. There was coffee and creamer and a fully stocked kitchen. The cabin was spotless, extra towels, even detergent for the washing machine. There was mosquito spray and itch spray available. They had board games and puzzles along with books. They even made sure the mosquito population was sprayed. I mean they thought of everything! Just perfect for our stay in Fairbanks.

Great space! Very clean and I appreciated the welcome bag and other small touches. Beautiful house, and considering it’s down a dirt road it’s not too out of the way. Would definitely stay there again. (Bummed I didn’t see any moose near the house, but maybe next time!)

This cabin is amazing. It is so warm and welcoming. The owners were amazing. They made sure we had everything we need and even a pack and play and high chair for our 9 month old. Wonderful location near Fairbanks, but away from the city so that it feels “secluded” because you are surrounded by forest in every direction. House was very clean and comfortable and well appointed with plenty of basic supplies! Would definitely stay here again if/when we return to Fairbanks.

We stayed at Comfy Caribou Lodge from March 18-25, 2025 and had an absolutely amazing experience! This cabin was so much more than we had expected! It was one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed and had everything we needed for our stay. We saw the Northern Lights every night that we were there right from the porch. It was far enough from the city to feel secluded, but close enough to go into town if we needed anything. The hosts, Spencer and Meera, were especially wonderful. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave us some recommendations as well. They provided us with snacks when we arrived, which was a welcome sight after traveling all day. The beds were very comfortable and the house was so cozy! It just made our entire stay even better knowing we had such a great place to come back to after we spent a day exploring the city. We only wish we could have stayed longer. I’ve already recommended the Comfy Caribou Lodge to friends who are looking to visit Alaska. We definitely recommend this cabin. It will be everything you are looking for and more!

The cabin was amazing and the location was wonderful. Those lots of snow on the ground and we saw the northern lights three times. We had a lot of fun on our visit and plan to come back.!!!!

Excellent location for Aurora viewing, 15 mins outside of Fairbanks downtown. Super clean, comfortable beds, building is basically new. Convenient plug in at entry for engine warming. Large capacity washer/dryer, modern appliances, comfy cou hes. Great place to stay!everything.

Our experience staying at the cabin couldn’t have been better. The cabin is located in a beautiful wooded area. It is super clean with a fully stocked kitchen. All three bedrooms are very comfortable. There are many board games provided that we played in evenings. I can’t thank Meyer’s enough for providing detailed guidance for Northern light watching which was our main purpose of the trip. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Fairbanks.

The property location is perfect! Not too far from town but far enough for peace and quiet. The cabin is nicer than the pictures indicate!! We had the Northern Lights 5 out of the 7 nights at the cabin and all we had to do was look out the window and stand on the porch!! Cabin has all of the necessities. Book this property! You will not be disappointed.

Comfy Caribou Lodge was a perfect spot to stay for us and our friends. The Lodge is far enough away from Fairbanks to have skies dark enough to view the Aurora and see wildlife but close enough to go in to town for groceries and to explore. The Lodge was very clean and spacious, offered everything we needed. Dace called us a few times to give extra information because we had a heavy snowfall and he arranged for someone to clear the drive. The Spencer's are very kind and helpful. Loved the Comfy Caribou Lodge.

Our stay could not have been more enjoyable. We were welcomed with a first night gift bag that was very much appreciated. Very comfortable accommodations for the four of us. So very relaxing and we had an amazing aurora display on our last night! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This cabin was the perfect place for the six of us seniors. We managed to cross off a bucket list item with this trip. Meera and Spencer are fantastics hosts. They have provided everything you need for a wonderful stay in Alaska. The cabin is beautiful! You are truly in the middle of nature sitting on the porch. Such a peaceful place! We saw lots of birds and animals and managed to see the light show on our last night there. If you are looking for that perfect Alaskan experience this is the place!!

The owner was very kind, calling us to make sure everything was as we expected upon arrival, leaving welcome card and goodies. All bedrooms are on 2nd floor, so if you have a handicapped person you may not be able to stay here. But, we definitely will recommend this VRBO. You can see the northern lights from the porch, which was a plus. House was like in new condition.

Stay was goofy

We had a great stay at this property. It had everything anyone could just about need. There was even bug spray and a first aid kit. The accommodations were very comfortable. Communication with the owner was great. We saw the Aurora two out of the three nights we were there in early September. Be advised it is located about 15 minutes away from town, but we wanted to be away from the city lights. If we are ever in Fairbanks again, we would definitely stay there.
