The River Erme is nearby, and the sandy beach at Mothecombe is a short distance away and makes for a pleasant day at the beach. The Dartmoor National Park and the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are also nearby, providing a multitude of outdoor activities.
