Stayed Jan 1, 1We booked this spacious and comfortable bungalow for our Christmas break. It was ideally situated to visit sights such as Uppark, Arundel, Petworth, Midhurst, Pulborough and Chichester - all within ,30 minutes drive. We were privileged to attend Christmas Eucharist at Chichester Cathedral which made our Christmas Day. The cottage itself is spacious, warm and well equipped and set in a woodland garden, home to a variety of wildlife especially pheasants, jays and fallow deer. The location is very quiet and ideal for a relaxing break. We would also recommend the White Horse Inn at Sutton for an excellent meal. The food and friendly service was top class and the inn is just a few minutes drive away.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Our stay was conveniently located for the Goodwood Revival. The Cottage was located in a very peaceful and quite location. Our hosts Lucy and David could not have been more welcoming or helpful, even helping supply gumboots for a very wet Revival weekend. The Cottage was very clean and perfect for our needs and contained everything we needed.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Our 4th time at Woodland Cottage - I think it says it all. So comfortable, and welcoming. Ideal location for visiting this part of West Sussex, and convenient for local walking as well.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Fabulous ,cottage ,location , hosts couldn't do enough to make this holiday perfect. Surrounding woods owned by the owners were free for us to roam with woodannommies , unique statues dotted around, and a clearing with a picnic table and chairs which we took advantage of. The cottage had everthing you could require, and so spacious , bliss.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We made a very last minute booking for a short break here, and it was perfect. The cottage itself is well equipped, spacious, warm, and very comfortable. We loved sitting on the bench enjoying the pond, and took several walks in the private woods, which are more extensive than we'd expected. The random objets d'art in the woods are great fun! There are plenty of walks from the front door and we enjoyed the rolling countryside and autumnal leaves. The pub at the end of the lane is a very short walk from the cottage and we enjoyed several meals there, plus brunch one day. Lucie and David were very friendly and welcoming, yet unobtrusive. We stayed in the area so we could visit relatives and after a busy day of visits the cottage was the perfect retreat! Highly recommended. And don't be deceived by the photo showing a fence through the French doors - the space between the doors and the fence is bigger than it looks and you'll be looking at the view over the pond from the other French doors anyway! Woodland Cottage is on our list of places we'd happily return to in the future.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My wife and I were looking for a place to stay within easy reach of Goodwood race circuit, and to explore West Sussex. Woodland Cottage was in a perfect location for our needs. The cottage itself was immaculate, although the pale carpets were slightly scary as we didn't want to stain them. The cottage was bright, spacious and warm, with everything we needed for a two week stay. The setting is spectacular, with a view across a small lake, and access to the owners' private woodland. It is well located for access to many of the attractions of West Sussex so provides an ideal base.
