An ideal holiday home only a few yards from the water's edge in an elevated position in the attractive sailing village of Kippford. The cottage is the upper part of a traditional over and under cottage with a lovely sun trap garden to the rear which has views to the river over the cottage, there is level access to the cottage by the bridge from the garden, note that there are one or two steps on the path from the roadside parking through the garden. The cottage apartment is spacious and has superb views especially from the living room bay window over the River Urr to the hills of Bengairn and Screel.

Country walks are on the door step with the Jubilee Path leading over National Trust for Scotland land to Rockcliffe, with its sandy beach just over one mile away. Two pubs in the village, both of which serve food are within a short walking distance while the beach at Sandyhills and forest walks are a short drive away.

    This is an absolutely delightful property in an amazing location, with unbeatable views. It is well furnished and comfortable and has a great garden with abundant furniture and is situated in truly beautiful countryside and a charming village, with two acceptable pubs.There is a lovely circular walk to the equally pretty village of Rockliffe from which you can swim and in the nearby town of Castle Douglas there are very good food shops and a first class restaurants, Mr Pooks. We will definitely return.

    lovely position overlooking river urr clean ,tidy,fully equipped loved the bbq area with chimnea super 9hole golf course up the road looking forward to our next visit
