Stayed Nov 23, 2025Lovely relaxing holiday down on the farm. Amanda & Nigel were really welcoming and friendly. There were coffee/tea biscuits and milk on arrival which were much appreciated. Lovely walks straight from the door over the field and Moor to Pooley Bridge with its pretty and cosy tearooms & shops. Accommodation was warm and cosy with comfy beds. We did have a power cut, but if you're in the countryside it is quite usual during bad weather. There was a dog bath/shower with lots of warm water, also a kennel to leave dog for a few hours to visit local restaurants, if necessary.

Stayed Aug 26, 2025What a lovely relaxing place to stay. Great location for Pooley Bridge and Ullswater Lake. Owners were very helpful and kind but would leave you to your own space. Would highly recommend. We will be back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A beautiful cottage that is fabulously equipped and spotlessly clean. As we love to walk the Northeastern Fells this cottage is perfectly placed for that. Fabulous views from the cottage looking out over Mill Moor and surrounding fells that make you feel so relaxed and calm which makes for a wonderfully chilled break away. Stayed Dec 31, 1969Lovely character cottage. Access to nearby Pooley Bridge is a little hairy walking on country roads with no footpaths particularly at night. The footpaths to the village across fields is ok if your happy to be inspected closely by cows! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great place to stay. It was comfortable and homely and we did a lot of walking and sightseeing. However, had we known that the road at Pooley Bridge was closed, we wouldn’t have booked as it meant a long diversion .

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A lovely cottage just outside of Pooley Bridge. It is a short walk from the river, and only a 15 minute or so walk into the town. It is very quiet and peaceful. Comfortable sofas and bed, and all the equipment you expect. The only comments I would make are to note that towels are not included by default, and the shower doesn’t have a screen, so if you prefer showers to baths, you just need to be a little careful not to soak the room. They are minor points for information only. Not whiney complaints.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed for a week and were welcomed with a lovely homemade cake! The barn was small but comfortable with everything we needed to cater for young children. But you need to bring your own towels. It was about a 15 mins walk to Pooley bridge through fields, so not pram friendly etc. Pooley bridge is a fantastic location for exploring the lakes and if you have children definately recommend Lowther Castle & Acorn Bank (NT). The barn owners were very friendly and we loved the bulls & cows that lived there too. All in all a lovely stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a lovely quiet break here. A great walk across fields to the village amenities and lake. Ullswater is a perfect location for a family holiday. Cottage rustic and cosy, hosts welcoming and kids loved being on a farm.
