Welcome to one of the most romantic settings in the Smokies! River Falls Cabin is a REAL log cabin! It has been a favorite for Smokies visitors for many years, due to its very unique setting along a Blue Ribbon trout stream. The stream is over 60 feet wide next to River Falls Cabin. Only 7 minutes to the Cosby Entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park!

Guests at this genuine log cabin will enjoy the beautiful, tranquil grounds surrounding the cabin as well. There is plenty of room for horseshoes, yard darts, and other activities. River Falls is appointed with fine furnishings, new stainless appliances, washer & dryer, a fireplace, large flat-screen TVs with cable television, and wireless internet. Guests can enjoy the 4-person spa on the back deck overlooking Cosby Creek.

Upstairs, River Falls has a fun living room with a queen size sofa sleeper, flat screen television, and a Pac-Man multicade arcade game!

River Falls is about 12 minutes south of Newport, and is a 25-minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg. The Cosby entrance to the national park is only a 5 to 7 minute drive.

Multiple families/family members can also reserve River Falls Bungalow, a 1-bedroom log cabin about 150 feet from the main cabin. River Falls Bungalow sleeps 4 and includes a full kitchen.

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was easy to get to. Far away from the craziness of Piegon Forge/Gatlinburg, however a very easy 30 min drive to Gatlinburg! If you love the peace of the mountains yet want to drive to town for shopping or a night out, it was perfect. The cabin was beautiful and very clean. But the stream was the best part! You could hear the water flowing wherever you went in the house and it was very relaxing!! Can’t wait to come back!

The stream behind the cabin and the serenity of the location were wonderful. The cabin needed some work and was not clean when we arrived. I expected that when we had to pay a large cleaning fee, it would be clean upon arrival and it would cleaned after we left. The cabin was left in better shape than it was arrived to- and even after the fee we still had to wash, dry and put away dishes, ect. Or an additional cleaning fee would be added to our card!!?! And if that wasn’t enough, there was an envelope asking for tips for the cleaning, waiting for us upon arrival?? the floors were dirty, covered in hair, and hadn’t been swept in awhile. The pillow shams and bed covers were very dirty and smelled musty. The beds are unbelievably uncomfortable and the temperature is set to a climate that can’t be changed, making it sticky and muggy in the cabin. We spent a lot of time on the porch where it was cool and there was a breeze. Overall the weekend in the Gatlinburg area was fun and comfortable, but the cabin needs some TLC to make it a really comfortable vacation spot.

The cabin is amazing because of its location and views. You couldn’t ask for a better creek. The rushing sounds of the water was amazing while sitting in the hot tub or just swinging on the porch.

Pros: beautiful view, good location, quietCons: downstairs bathroom has a tub only-no shower head. For showers you have to go upstairs and use the stall shower. So if you are staying in the upstairs room, expect everyone to be walking through your room to shower. Beds are really high up, so if you are short you might struggle getting in the bed.

I surprised my Trout Queen Darling Bride with a 35th Anniversary getaway to this wonderful cabin, in a great location… right on the creek! We found out, though, that Cosby Creek is only stocked with trout in the spring: if fishing is not important to your romantic getaway, this cabin should definitely be on your short list.David’s instructions were accurate and we had no trouble accessing the cabin or enjoying the amenities like the hot tub and fireplace. We were pleasantly surprised that the cabin was immaculate. Virtually no dust – not even on the ceiling fans! Kudos to cleaner Tammy for doing an incredible cleaning job!The guest book has plenty of great comments over the past few years… but also many complaints noted about the mattresses. They are very hard! It's way past time to replace them with quality foam/coil hybrid mattresses. We found the living room furniture to be quaint, rustic, and extremely well-used. It has earned its retirement and needs to be replaced; the living room rug definitely needs a good deep cleaning.Beyond these details (and every rental place is going to have things that won’t please everybody), we are very happy with our incredibly romantic stay and hope to visit again!

This was our 3rd or 4th stay at this lovely cabin. It ticks all our boxes: quiet (away from the commercialized area of the Smokies), stream-side, always clean and welcoming. The owner is great to work with - good communication throughout the process. We'll be back again!!

Easy to get to but definitely take the recommendation to arrive in daylight. Just driving up to the cabin, you could feel the weight lift off and peacefulness start slipping in. It was close to everything whether eat out or grab things from the Dollar General. It was extremely clean which is a major plus for us! The cabin is literally right on the creek. While sipping morning coffee on the back deck you can relax with the sight and sound of the moving water. Very serene. The hot tub is conviently set on the back deck to add to the relaxation. We enjoyed this much needed time to just be still. Plan to return often.

We had a wonderful time relaxing by the fireplace in the living room, enjoyed soaking in the hot tub while listening to the stream and our dog has the time of his life exploring the property. It was a great relaxing trip for us in the cold months and I think we would take our kids in warmer weather when they can swim in the creek.

We stayed here for our 6 year wedding anniversary, so glad we got to bring our 15 year old pup with us. The cabin was amazing. We enjoyed our stay very much. Seeing all the beautiful colors of the leaves and the leaves falling. I spent most of my time on the back porch, even when it got cool at night I just wrapped up in my hoodie and blanket. The sound of the creek is sooooo peaceful, that was worth the trip in itself, perfect place for drinking my coffee in the morning. I hate to leave and wished we had booked a few more nights. We ate breakfast and dinner outside everyday. The cabin was super cozy. Having a fireplace to use was perfect. The only downside for me was the hot tub wasn’t working properly. It would run for like 5 to 10 minutes then stop. Kept flashing Flo. We would have to wait a few minutes before we could turn it back on then it would stop again. I was a little creeped out by not having a blind for the window in the downstairs bathroom even though it was semi secluded. I definitely would come back and stay at this cozy cabin.

When we booked this property, my husband and I read it as this house was secluded. This was very important to us due to traveling with our dogs. Luckily, we were able to make the baby gate that was left on the back deck work with straps so our dogs could stay out there with us and not be on a leash the entire time. Just know this baby gate does not fit in the opening to the stairs on the back deck. We had to use straps to hold it up. Also, the listing does state that there is AC, there is but it's the smaller units that hang on the wall. It is not central AC. We got the house to cool off with using both box fans, ceiling fans, and both ac units (one upstairs and one downstairs), but it wasn't like what we are used to at home. Sleep was not pleasant due to it being warmer. It was just frustrating to be expecting secluded and AC and not be exactly that when we arrived. Other than these two things, this house is beautiful, very clean, and so relaxing with the creek in the back. The town is so cute, and everyone is so nice here! Recommendations: Make sure to visit Carver's Apple Orchard down the road! Great food, candy, and a farmers market to buy fresh produce! We also hiked Stone Mountain Trail. This hike was difficult but worth the view at the top and is dog friendly!

We had a fun 2 nights, spent time in Gatlinburg and GSMNP. Groceries are available within 5 minutes and a few places to eat too. Property is as advertised, although some of the pics are a bit outdated. It was a little difficult to find, even with the instructions provided. Google maps has it right. When we arrived the back door was unlocked, and I had to compare the pics on the site to the cabin to make sure I was in the right cabin, as it is not clearly marked. Several other rentals in the area. The stream.is RIGHT at the back door. Very glad I did not bring the dogs as they would have been very difficult to keep them out of the water, so if your dog is motion driven, like mine, it would be a tall task. Make sure you read the check out instructions on the fridge as the one that come via email are different. I almost left without stripping the beds and moving the dirty towels to the washer. 2 bathrooms, upstairs has the shower, downstairs has a tub. We needed to leave the bedroom doors open and run fans to keep the bedrooms cool from the 2 wall mounted A/C units. Kitchen supplies get the job done, pots and pans a new and nice.

This property was not honest In it’s listing. It says there was air conditioning, but there is no central air, fans and two motorized wall mounts only. When it rained a musty/moldy smell took over the cabin. It also a fire pit and grill, but they were broken down and dirty. There was no good place for fishing. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, the toilet paper and towels were very thin. The outdoor furniture was not in good condition. If you use this cabin take everything with you because there was nothing like paper plates, napkins, seasonings, etc. We were very disappointed
