Grassy Butte, North Dakota
This cabin sits on our ranch in the middle of the North Dakota badlands. 15 miles south of the North Unit of the TRMF National Park and 50 miles from Medora ND and the South Unit of the TRMF National Park. 5 miles from the Maah Daah Hey trail. Enjoy seeing wildlife, stargazing, hunting, and hiking. Great place for families. It is important to note that it is a one room cabin with 2 sets of full size bunkbeds as seen in the pictures .
Great place to stay. Rustic but very comfortable. Property host was pleasant and helpful.
Very peaceful and beautiful
We are a family with 4 kids and the bunkhouse was great, the bunkbeds are comfortable and the cottage was clean and cozy. Lots of room outside to run if you have kids, it’s a rural setting which we liked. We have T mobile and the service was. good. If you’re going to TRNP it’s a great location.
The property was everything I expected and more! Great little place in excellent location with wonderful owners! Will be booking again for another trip.
Enjoyed our stay. Peaceful and beautiful.
We were really in the middle of grassland, off the road and remote. It worked well for hiking and to explore the area. It was very clean and rustic.
Loved it Hosts were wonderful and cabin is very quiet and clean
It was a great location. Very quite and peaceful. Love the property and the area. Plenty of space to sleep and a cute set up.
This was the perfect get away for our family. 2 adults and 2 kids. More affordable and closer the great hiking trails then most hotels, plus more amenities! Loved being able to cook and send the kids outside to play. Beautiful sunsets. Just a heads up for future guests there is a smaller hot water tank.
Good spot to stay while visiting the north unit and south unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Very peaceful and private.
Not a fancy place but nice. We were a part of five with two dogs and had plenty of space. It would be nice to have a couple other chairs or a couch, the island chairs aren’t particularly comfortable. I think my biggest complaint is the lack of hot water. The tank must be minuscule, not enough hot water for more than one person to shower. All in all, it was fun and a nice get away!
Remote property, great place to sleep while exploring the badlands
