Stayed Jul 12, 2024Fabulous, comfortable yet still with the appointments of a museum. Guest service was unparalleled. My friends went on a walking tour of the city. I stayed behind and and enjoyed the pool, sauna and the solitude of the third floor which had its own terrace and library. Could not have been a more wonderful property.

Stayed Nov 19, 2023Exceptional! Truly remarkable, historic, restored home. Surprises around every corner, from antique kitchen tools, lighting fixtures, art and wonderful places to relax and enjoy your time in BA with all of the modern amenities (wifi, air conditioning, full home sound system, elevator). Pool and spa area is amazing as are the many areas with outdoor space. The pictures tell only a part of the story, you must see it to believe it. The home will put an exclamation point on your time in BA. Darren, Majo (house manager) and the staff could not be more helpful in answering questions and supporting you while you are there and they have paid close attention to every detail. We would love to go back someday (soon)!

Stayed Jun 24, 2023Our large group had the privilege of living in this remarkable house for nine weeks. It’s hard to describe how special this beautifully restored palace is… the photos in the listing, while accurate, don’t fully capture the majestic yet warm feeling you get when you walk into the place!! The house is huge, so we were able to live and work very comfortably, yet we felt very secure inside thanks to the home’s excellent security system. And the house amenities – pool, sauna, steam room, massage room (best massages ever!), multiple kitchens, patios, décor, etc. – were thoroughly enjoyed by all. The few minor “house” issues experienced during our stay (eg. shower drainage one day, front door jam on another) were resolved immediately. While some in our group preferred the more modern area of Palermo, others of us loved the old San Telmo neighborhood! So much is within walking distance – groceries, pharmacies, great restaurants, cafes, terrific antique stores, museums, historic sites, and of course, the wonderful San Telmo market. There is easy access to public transportation as well (bus & metro) and Uber worked great for us too. Thank you to the entire Chacabuco team for your fantastic service and hospitality! Special thanks to Darren, who fielded a myriad of questions prior to our arrival, and to outstanding house manager Alva, whose assistance with money exchange, tours, translation assistance, etc.,etc., throughout our stay went above and beyond.

Stayed May 16, 2023My husband and I stayed on the penthouse floor of this palace - very enchanting with the patio, kitchen a study and living room. The elevator makes it easy to access all floors - so we used the steam room and pool everyday. We are musicians who performed in Buenos Aires and surrounding areas. Alva was very helpful in helping us rent a piano and many recommendations. The surrounding area is not as upscale as Palermo - but being careful - we walked to the San Telmo Square, San Telmo market, famous cafes, the Colon Theater, Puerto Madera, etc. Our group was well taken care of - and we all enjoyed all the amenties included. This is a beautiful palace with great help from the property manager, Alva. Thank you! Beth

Stayed Aug 3, 2022We had a blast staying at this excellent, Uber pleasant house at the heart of Montserrat. The rooms are spacious, the decor, elegant. Our large family of 6 had a great time enjoying the pool, the elegant fountain outside, the roof top and the ease of walking downtown Buenos Aires. We had a very pleasant relaxing stay! Also a special thank you to Alva the house manager, he was excellent and helped us through out the trip! He even helped arrange for a doctor to come to the house when our daughter had an ear infection. Thank you to everyone at Chacabuco House for a wonderful stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had the privilege to stay in this extraordinary house for Christmas 2019. The house itself is enormous and filled with art, sculptures and interesting pieces. We truly stepped back in time and enjoyed life the way it was when this glorious home was truly a Spanish mansion. The house is equipped with absolutely everything one needs. There are interesting cafes around the area and supermarkets, butchers, bakeries and grocers are all available a few steps away. The entire team associated with this house were most gracious and a pleasure to deal with. We like to think we will be back one day. In the meantime, this house carries our highest possible recommendation.
