Stayed Dec 15, 2024Lovely flat just as described. Had everything needed for a comfortable, home from home stay. View from window amazing. Very well located, 5 min walk to sea front where there’s great places to eat and drink, 2 min walk into Ventnor town which has some fabulous quirky independent shops. Fabulous base to explore the island. Would totally recommend staying here.

Stayed Sep 23, 2024All very good, clean and comfortable with sea and garden views. Free 24 hour parking close by, managed to get a parking space every evening in September, probably busier in high season. Had delicious and reasonably priced meal at ‘Stripped’. Couple of negatives, there was some uncleared builders’ rubbish by the front door, unsightly and was blown about, In high winds, which should have been cleared, secondly the tv had very limited choice of channels, un upgrade to a smart tv would be good. Otherwise an excellent base for exploring the island

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Had a lovely time. The flat is very comfortable and has a lot of nice touches to make it feel like you are at home. It is very convenient to everything, beach walks, cafes, bus, groceries. It has everything you need to have a very enjoyable stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A very comfortable apartment in a perfect location for the local restaurants, buses and glorious coastal walks. The only downside was no allocated parking, although we were lucky to find spaces nearby.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Niggles: The kitchen bin was broken, the blind in the toilet was missing, parking could be challenging and no guidance was given on which car parks to use. We appreciate this is a shared building, but the upstairs occupant was given to continuous loud humming: might not bother some, but it was intrusive. Internet access felt as if it was time limited - disappeared first thing in the day, but reappeared around 9am. Otherwise it was fine. Positives: The location for a seaside holiday is fantastic. Walk down to the front and turn left (with some local advice) and you have a wonderful breakwater walk, and an opportunity to get a full English at Besty and Spinky's cafe on your return (or before), turn right and you have the full English seaside experience all the way to the Spyglass. Lots of excellent places to eat: TripAdvisor seems *mostly* reliable on Ventnor. Definitely worth a drive to The Best Dressed Crab - but best to book ahead. The flat is comfortable, and eating breakfast by the living room window looking out to sea is very pleasant. It worked well for two people and a cockapoo. Leaving the building, if you turn left there's a green with poo bins at the top of the slope down to the breakwater. Even in May some shops were closed, but obviously preparing for the season. The Coop is a two minute walk, Tesco maybe 6 or 7. Honourable mentions have to go to Shannon at Island Holidays, who was incredibly helpful, and Rob at Island Holidays who dropped everything on a Sunday to sort a spare key for the flat after we had lost the main key. We then found it, but he was on the case immediately. Note to self: do not take flat key on trips - leave it in the keysafe. On the whole, this is a comfortable base in a lovely seaside town from which to visit all the IOW usual suspects; the location is excellent, bring binoculars to get the best of the views. If you're not neurotic about noise, you'll be fine.

Stayed Mar 23, 2022Small apartment, clean, comfortable and quiet, bed quite firm but generally comfortable, decor/furniture old fashioned to owners taste, fully equipped kitchen area, nice views out to sea, 2 flights of stairs, 5 minute steep walk down to the esplanade which is a nice area with a few cafes/restaurants, found parking a bit of a pain, there’s a small free car park at top of road but not always spaces available, otherwise there’s a pay & display car park 5 minutes walk away or parking on the esplanade

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a beautifully decorated apartment, very comfortable and everything is in exceptional condition. The location could not be better with the beach literally a minutes walk and is also within a short stroll to shops. Our 3 year old son loved looking out of the window and seeing the boats across the shore. My only criticism would be it felt a little dusty especially inside the wardrobes etc. However, this would not stop us from staying again. Amazing service, even on a Saturday afternoon when we managed to lock ourselves out of the apartment! Great stay, would recommend.
