This park is a non-captive warm water refuge for the Florida Manatee. If you want to see Manatees up close and personal, then take a trip here in late December through the end of February. This is the perfect time to see Manatees in all their glory. For some reason, Manatees are not present during the warmer months since they prefer a cooler water temperature so keep that in mind when thinking of visiting here. This park sees more than 200,000 visitors annually. “Fort Myers Beach Fishing Pier” is another great place to go if you love outdoor recreation. Here you can do so many things like parasail, dolphin watch, watch the fisherman as they catch fish for local eateries or fish for yourself.
