Egg Harbor, Wisconsin
Perched on a breezy bluff overlooking Green Bay, this totally remodeled 1-bedroom water view condo in the Harbor building of the Landmark Resort exceeds resort standards with a full kitchen featuring new cabinets, stainless appliances, quartz counter tops, new carpet, tile, light fixtures and furniture. Dramatic lighting creates a serene, spa-like environment that perfectly sets the scene for a romantic couple's escape or a girls getaway. The IHeart music app on the new smart TV will provide the perfect soundtrack to set the mood. The queen size bed in the private bedroom is nestled in a cozy nook with soft lighting and individual reading lights. Open the bedroom window and let the cool, fresh, bay air drift in as you cuddle up on the triple-sheeted pillow top mattress, or give into the guilty pleasure of watching TV in bed on the new LED smart TV. The bathroom vanity is separate from the brand new toilet and shower for an unhurried start to your day. If you happen to own an electric car, you can use the recently added charging stations for Tesla and other electric cars to explore Door County for free. If you need a break from Door County's fine restaurants and wine and cheese tastings, the full kitchen is equipped with an electric range, stove and microwave. The refrigerator will chill your wine, freeze your margaritas, and the whisper quiet dishwasher will make cleanup quick and painless. Make lots of good coffee with the drip coffee maker or one perfect cup with the French press. A private, covered porch is the perfect place to sit and enjoy that perfect cup of coffee or share a sunset glass of wine. The condo looks out on the outdoor pool to the left, the gas grills forward, and the western shore of the peninsula to the north. The hot tub and steam room are located 40 steps down the hall (I counted them) and exit out onto a large outdoor deck with tables, chairs and umbrellas for larger gatherings. Be aware that there are 5 steps up to the condo after exiting the elevator. Entry through the back entrance reduces this to one step up into the building. There is also the Carrington Pub and Grill on the property, with a new menu and under new management this year. The awesome outdoor deck at the Carrington overlooks the northern coast of the peninsula, and is there for when you don't feel like cooking or driving. An indoor pool and spa in the Charthouse is available when the weather is cold. If you happen to own an electric car, you can use the recently added charging stations for Tesla and other electric cars to explore Door County for free. But, no matter where you go, you cannot escape what is quite possibly the best view in Door County. Whether you are swimming in the pool, grilling bratwurst for the big game, having a sundowner on the porch, soaking in the hot tub, or simply enjoying the condo, nature will treat you daily to a beautiful sunset or a dramatic storm rolling across the bay.
The Landmark is a four season resort, and Door County is a four season destination.
Winter - The Landmark has an overflow lot to park your snowmobile trailers. Door County has an extensive system of snowmobile trails. Ice fishing is popular, with most fisherman catching whitefish (I caught more than my limit last winter). Peninsula State Park and Newport State Park both provide excellent opportunities for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and hiking. Nothing like a good meal, a glass of wine and a good soak in the hot tub at the end of a long day of cross country skiing. Many guests use the condo as a retreat to rest or focus on a big project - perfect for writing your novel or preparing for the big presentation.
Spring - Spring ushers in the beginning of the fishing season. Many of the tributaries in Door County provide good opportunities for Steelhead, and Brown Trout can be caught from the docks after ice out.. The Baileys Harbor Brown Trout Tournament provides early action in late April. And, of course, the cherry and apple trees explode with blossoms.
Summer - Festivals, shopping, eating, drinking, swimming, hiking, cherry picking, sailing, boating, fishing, berry picking .... The Door County Wine Festival is centered in Egg Harbor, and a free trolley conveniently stops at the Landmark to take you to and from the festival.
Fall - The fall colors are the obvious attraction in Fall, but there is also apple picking, hunting, and somehow, the wineries are just better in the Fall. Real Door County aficionados appreciate the long shadows of Fall before the colors hit their peak and the stark beauty and crisp air afterwards. My wife and I have spent many early November wedding anniversaries in Door County with nothing but good memories. With the grills just steps away, and a high definition smart TV, the condo is an excellent place to watch the big game, or travel to Green Bay for a Packers game.
Note: The $93.75 cleaning fee provides clean linens and towels at the beginning of your stay. Additional towel and cleaning services are offered at check in for an additional charge.
When we arrived at 1:30pm, the Landmark front desk had no record of our reservation and had to contact the condo unit owner to verify. Luckily, they were able to reach the owner quickly. They informed housekeeping and we did actually get in the condo a little after 4pm (normal check-in time). However, had we arrived at 4pm, we likely wouldn't have gotten in until much later. According to the front desk, the condo owner is responsible for alerting Landmark in advance so they can enter the reservation and that didn't happen. After that it was smooth sailing.
It was so nice walking out on deck area. And just looking at the bay.
Staff was friendly and helpful. This condo provided the great escape from every day life. Such a beautiful view out back and from the bedroom. There are plenty of amenities and the property is so pretty to walk. We enjoyed our stay! Thank you.
We enjoyed our accommodations and the golfing in Door County. The property is beautiful and we will definitely stay here in the future.
The property itself is just as pictured. Unknown to me, prior to arriving, is this property is located in a resort. There are two nice pools. Large indoor whirlpools, steam rooms and showers in each building. There are also facilities for tennis, shuffle board, and other activities. Once you leave you're 3 minutes from Egg Harbor and a nice drive all the way to the tip of Door County. Overall a great experience.
The condo was a great getaway. The view was beautiful and the unit was tastefully decorated. Loved the small extra blankets and ottomans. Small kitchen which just needs a few more essentials such as oil or cooking spray but that’s minor. The property itself is well kept but needs a bit of an update in hallways and Lobby. Having said all of that…we will be back!
Great time. Beautiful Winter experience. Just what I wanted. Peace, and a beautiful Winter views.
The unit was adorable and had everything we needed. The view of the lake and the glorious sunsets really made the trip special. Communication with owner was very good! The closet space was so clever and made unpacking so easy. A great place!
We stayed here on our wedding night (8/26/22) thru the weekend and it was a perfect spot to relax. Only a few things that the resort grounds need to address, not the host themselves. Parking is a nightmare. We drove around for 15 minutes and could not find a parking spot. Had to go back to registration and park there. Mind you I am in my wedding dress and we have luggage, coolers, etc. Not ideal to walk to our condo at 1:00am!! Luckily they did have someone come pick me up with a golf cart and some of the luggage to bring to our building. But my husband still had to walk there with some of our items. Also the buildings themselves need to be updated. The carpet in the lobby and hallways is very worn and dirty and the overall appearance is just old and outdated. Again this is no reflection on the condo itself and owners. The condo was perfect and had everything we needed. The Landmark Resort needs to address the parking and updates throughout the resort.
Some maintenence is needed and our condo could have been dusted better but the over-all stay was very nice. I especially enjoyed the inserted small private patio where the wind didn't touch me but the views were spectacular.
Overall we loved staying here. The property and room itself are great. But I would say it is a bit misleading to call it a fully stocked kitchen. There isnt even a cutting board, let alone basics like salt, pepper, oil, or even a sponge to wash dishes. Made cooking our own meals a challenge, but other than that, we had a great stay.
We stayed on level 1 and we’re surprised by having to unload the luggage cart, climb 5 stairs, before getting to Our reserved room. At age 78 that was NOT pleasant. The same situation when We were departing.
Very cozy and quiet. Updated appliances and comfortable bed.
Only suggestion is the bed and pillows need to be replaced.
This is the second time we stayed here. Had an enjoyable time in door county. It was very quiet through out our stay our condo was very nice. But the common area and hallways could use some updating like new carpet and paint. All and all I would highly recommend it
This property was perfect for our long weekend stay. The location made it easy to get to each side of the peninsula. Located next to so many restaurants, shops & amazing scenery. Easy check in & out. Beautiful view of the sunset from each window. Every amenity you would need is provided. Definitely will choose this property again!
My wife and I were looking for a quick getaway and wanted to spend a little time in the area. The condo was very clean, easy to get to and very comfortable. Thank you for letting us stay here!
The property, building exteriors, and unit itself were very nice. The inside, common spaces of the buildings are a bit tired. The access to Egg Harbor and the rest of Door County is great. We enjoyed ourselves.
According to owner, an OPTIONAL replenishment fee would be offered on arrival. On arrival, the resort required us to pay the replenishment fee even though we refused it and didn’t need it. Also, the unit was pretty dirty.
We did it all. Segway, boat tours, cherry picking, wine tasting, Washington Island ect. Great and quiet location. Love the trails too. Would return.
Love the Landmark. Beautiful grounds and beautiful, cozy condo. Thank you!
This was the most perfect location for a weekend getaway with my husband to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary! The resort was wonderful and our little condo couldn’t have been more perfect for us. For our first time in Door County, this was the best experience! Looking forward to booking here again!
The condo unit was great, and the listing had all the info I needed to make this a smooth getaway for my wife and I. Plenty of amenities at the Landmark, and I’d definitely stay here again.
Property was as advertised. We like the location - away from traffic and in a nice wooded area, but still close enough to Egg Harbor. The only downside was the hot tub in our building was out of order for our entire stay! Not a big deal.
My boyfriend and I decided to visit Door County for the first time, and this Condo’s location could not have made it any more special. We loved starting our mornings with coffee on the patio, while listening and watching the beautiful birds, taking in nature, and the view of the lake in the distance. This experience was the perfect combination of hiking, great food, and shops just minutes away. Thank you Jeff and Julie for an amazing stay!
Very relaxing everyone was super nice
