Call the FREE shuttle and it will be waiting in front within 10 minutes to take you to the easiest slopes or anywhere in the resort and home again or ski home. The Chalet features two natural stone, wood burning, fireplaces, one on each floor. Living room areas are on both the first and second floors. Both with large flat screen TV's on the walls, stereo systems and DVD players. The Chalet has two full kitchens and 2 dining areas, one on each floor. br 6 bedrooms, 4 baths, and 2 laundry rooms. br This is just about the only house that you can see from any lift at Snowshoe. The village is a 4 minute ride on the shuttle, it operates from 8AM. until 1AM. There is plowed parking for 8 cars in our driveway in front and on the same level as the house. There are 4 flat screen TVs in the unit (one in each bedroom in addition to the family room) and a Blue-ray player in the living room. The complex has a community fire pit which is great for family fun. FREE Wifi and nationwide long distance calling. AT&T service is sporadic on the mountain, however it works consistently in my unit. brbrThis unit was originally a 2 bedroom, however underwent a major reconstruction and reconfiguration resulting in very open family space downstairs and 3 bedrooms up. You can ski from that same area on the Cupp, Shay's slopes(black & double black), or the other side where there are green & blue slopes. The lifts come up at that same area. We plow the driveway, but you will need 4-wheel/all- drive to assure you can reach the top of the driveway.brbrFoxwood has a gourmet kitchen with a stamped copper ceiling, farmhouse sink, wet bar, granite countertops, gas cooktop and double electric ovens. Our refrigerator will be stocked with bottled water, your choice of soft drinks and adult beverages when you arrive. A waffle maker, 2 coffee makers, blender, plenty of wine glasses, microwave oven and crock pot round out this well equipped kitchen.brbrThere is a gas grill, with a side-burner outside the kitchen. An extra propane tank is located under the bar on the front deck if needed for the grill or fire pit.brbrThe great room with vaulted ceilings adjacent to the kitchen has a wood burning fireplace with a firewood alcove. Additional firewood is in the storage bin near the garage. Enjoy amazing views of Western Territory, Cupp Run, Shay's Revenge and brilliant sunsets.brbrEnjoy the view from the hot tub located on a separate deck with access from/to the bathroom as well as from the great room. For your safety, shower before and after the use of the hot tub. We use bromine to sanitize the water. Children should always be supervised by an adult. High water temperatures may be harmful to small children and pregnant women. NO GLASS CONTAINERS in the hot tub. Plastic glasses are on the top shelf of the kitchen cabinet. NOTE, hot tub water is changed before you arrive. In the winter months, the water may not be at optimal temperature until the evening of your arrival. We have the hot tub serviced regularly. In the event of an unexpected failure, we will make every effort to make repairs prior to your departure. However, due to our remote location and supply chain challenges, we cannot guarantee the repairs will be done before you depart. If repairs are not made hot tub fee will be reimbursed.brbrOur Dining Room seats 14 and has a gas fireplace. Original local artwork and sunset views make this a perfect place to gather.brbrA checker/chess table, and rug that serves as the game board for the large wooden tic tac toe X's and O's are in front of a wall of windows with a panoramic view. A small table that converts to a desk contains Chess pieces in the drawer.brbrThere are 5 bedrooms total. Two downstairs and 3 upstairs. One of the upstairs bedrooms is a walk-thru bunkroom.brbrDownstairs, bedroom 1 has a king bed, DirecTV, Netflix, and is adjacent to a shared full bath with access to the hot tub.brbrThe second downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, wall of windows with a door to a porch, ceiling fan, and shares downstairs bathroom.brbrUPSTAIRS: There are three bedrooms. Point of View is a 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom home with incredible views and 4,262 square feet of living space - there is plenty of room for families or groups of friends to spend time together yet still have separate areas for relaxation. There are two wood burning fireplaces so you can enjoy the beautiful views from the cozy warmth of the house. There’s a spacious heated entry room for all of your ski and snowboarding gear, a rec room with foosball table and 65” TV, a cozy loft for relaxing and enjoying the valley views, and a well stocked kitchen for eating in. The deck has a dining table, fire pit and hot tub and is great to enjoy the valley and mountain views, incredible sunsets, and stars that seem close enough to touch. The driveway is steep but is plowed regularly and has flat space at the top for four vehicles with additional parking at the bottom. Four wheel drive is strongly recommended. There is WiFi and a mini cell tower that provides Verizon service for the entire house. The on call shuttle picks up at the end of the road (three minute walk) for a free round trip ride to Silver Creek or anywhere at Snowshoe. The house is located on North West Ridge Road and is a short 150 yard walk to Shay’s Revenge and Cupp Run for the more experienced skiers.
