The farmhouse sits almost one mile off of US Route 220 with the nearest neighbor being a half mile away with 150 mostly forested acres to explore with old roads, trails, and a mountain stream . Three covered porches include a spa, grill, and porch swing. An elderly neighbor does walk the property for exercise as has been his routine for 25 years but is very respectful of guests and maintains guests’ privacy. Only only cell service provider available at the house is AT&T.

If you are looking for a quite place in the mountain - this is it. The inside is from rough cut lumber though out the cabin. Mostly Oak, Pine, Black Walnut, and Cherry . The bathroom wood is black walnut its stocked with all the things you would need towels, hand towels, wash cloths, bath mat, shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, hand soap, and hair dryer. Both bedrooms have antique double beds with all linens, closets with luggage racks with clothes hangers, side tables lamps with clocks. There is a pack and play in the bedroom closet. The high bar top is cherry above it is a light bar made from a cedar tree from the property with a LED light that changes colors. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils you would need. The curtains where hand made from my late grandmother. In the living room I have a DVD player with some movies and WiFi for your enjoyment. There is a full size air mattress in a storage bin with all the linens to go with it. I also have a sofa bed that is a full size. So I can sleep 8 people. There is a split unit for heat/Ac. for them really cold nights there is a woodstove to heat things up. For them furry little creatures you being along with you there is also a beds so they will feel right at home. I have board games and a few toys and books for the kids and the big kids. There is a very large picnic table made of pine outside under the over hang. Bring your charcoal because I have a grill waiting for you. A open field in the front of the cabin for recreation activities, a pond on the property with a fire pit. There is a small charcoal grill and chairs to sit in at the pond where the fire pit is. I also have firewood there for your enjoyment for a donation. br Also the pin map on Vrbo isn’t correct. The cabin is located north/east of Franklin WV. Mapquest is the best location system to use to locate the cabin. br I also provide Wi-Fi cause the cell phone service isn’t very good at the cabin. br Lay your phones down and enjoy the out doors. Early in the morning and later evening you might get to see the deer that comes on the property.

This is my grandmothers first house that she bought on her 12th move, around 1937 This house became my home along with my older sister and brother for our mother and dad made their home with our grandmother. We have decided to keep the house and rent it to vacationers who would like to spend family time with relaxation and enjoying staying in Grandmas house. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs one with queen bed and 2 with double beds and full bath and 1 bedroom downstairs with double bed and with commode and sink off bedroom and washer and dryer is in this bedroom also. The living room has a gas standing fireplace that heats the entire house with the upstairs door open. This home is completely furnished and also has some treasures of hers still there. brIt is in a country setting with 2 porches to set on and enjoy the beautiful surrounding of mother nature.Deer grazes in the field across the road almost every evening. In front of our property the government owns all the land where hunting fishing, hiking and exploring mother nature is out the front door. The road is a great road to walk on or bring your bike and enjoy riding on these West Virginia back roads and enjoy the beauty of the area. This house is just 5 mile from the Smoke Hole canyon, where the South Branch River is stocked each spring March, April and May and also October.brCome stay at Grandmas house, I don't think you will be disappointed. Darlene my sister lives in the large brick house that you can see if sitting on the back porch and as you enter Tract Mtn Rd. If you need to use a phone since there is no cell phone service here and no landline without going in either direction 4 mile she would be happy to let you use her phone . The is a plus that my sister lives close by to answer any questions you may have after your arrival.

Looking for a peace of heaven in West Virginia. This small cabin seats on top of the mountain. Great place to relax and seat back and enjoy the peace and quiet. The cabin isn’t far from Smoke Hole for some great fishing. Looking for some great hiking. We have Dolly Sods, Spruce Knob and Seneca Rocks just a beautiful drive through the mountains. We are about five min. from Highland's Golf Club if you are looking for a weekend of golf. Looking for a place to go with you furry baby. Check out Swilled Dog Hard Cider on Pettersburg Pike/Industrial Park Road in Franklin WV.br This small cabin with one full bathroom (washer/Dryer)(Shampoo and body wash) and one bedroom (Queen Bed). The cabin offers a open floor plan and has two twin beds. I also have two twin air mattress if needed. This small cabin can sleep six. ALL LINENS ARE PROVIDED. The kitchen is a fully stocked with everything you would need. Dinning room table with four chairs and if you need more room. There is a bar with four bar stools over looking the kitchen. (Paper towels and hand towels are provided with soap). If spending time inside you have a leather electric couch and love seat to relax and unwind. For the really cold night we offer a woodstove in the cabin and also a split unit if you don't want to mess with wood. The cabin has WiFi and a 55 inch screen TV with movies to watch on a DVD player.br If the sun is shinning and the outdoors are calling. There is a drive under carport in the back to have your car under shelter. The front porch offers a beautiful overlook of the property with chairs. Out from the front deck there is more room to socializing with friends/family when grilling out with on a charcoal grill . When the sun is seating behind the mountains . Get ready to build a fire in our large fire pit for roasting marshmallows. We have fire wood for a donation. I have a pond that is shared with another cabin. Don't worry there is plenty of room. Each cabin has its on pond area (picnic table and fire pit). You are allowed to fish but much catch and release. The property is on a cistern (Large water tank that holds water for the roof to supply water to the cabin). Please bring your on water to drink. Don't forget you little furry baby's on you adventures.br
