One Level Log Home on 3.5 Acres, Beautiful Views, Newly Updated

Custer, South Dakota, United States

Description:brbrBeautiful three bedroom, two bath, log home with new modern amenities. An open floor plan that allows family and friends to inclusively prepare meals while enjoying wonderful views of the natural beauty from every window and the crackling of the fireplace and/or while watching the 65” television with free Wi-Fi internet access. Two king size beds and one queen over queen bunk bed.brbrFor those looking for alone time, there is an open air three season reading room ideal for phone calls, work or simply reading a book in an oversized leather chair with a cup of hot coffee or a chilled adult beverage.brbrThe kitchen has pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc. to create memorable vacation meals and offers a healthy economical alternative to eating meals at local restaurants. Also, unlike many of the rural homes in the Black Hills area, there is excellent well water available from the tap. In fact, most folks choose to bottle our fresh ice cold tap water for their day trips.brbrCOVID-19:brbrPlease follow the current recommended PPE protocols during the time of travel.brbrWeather Considerations and Access:brbrThe weather in South Dakota, although unpredictable, is beautiful. The air is fresh with moderate temperatures during the summer months. Occasional afternoon showers will not be an access concern, unlike many rentals in the Black Hills having miles of dirt roads, because the house has a paved driveway. No cause for concern with the summer hail as the house has an overly large attached two car garage available for parking your personal car, motorcycle and/or the rental car.brbrWildlife:brbrAlmost daily, deer frequent the yard in the evenings, bluebirds abound and squirrels playfully chatter from the trees.brbrAdditional Amenities:brbrWe have fishing poles available for kids to enjoy the free fishing, for those 12 years of age or younger, in the many nearby lakes, without parents having to invest in this gear for a one time vacation outing. Lawn chairs and coolers are also made available. For those with toddlers or babies, we provide a Pack-n-Play and a booster seat for the car.brbrLocal Access:brbrThe house is less than 1 mile from the community golf course, 3 miles from downtown Custer, 3 miles from a new 76 bed community hospital, 6 miles from the Custer State Park entrance, 9 miles from Crazy Horse Memorial, 20 miles from Mt. Rushmore and 72 miles of beautiful Black Hills riding to Sturgis. In fact, the best riding in the Black Hills is in the Custer area through the Needles Highway.

Condo

Beautiful Black Hills Home just minutes from so many attractions.

Custer, South Dakota, United States

This is a home we built in 2007 that we have enjoyed and taken care of on every level. It is completely furnished with nothing but comfort in mind. 2 leather couches, 2 recliner chairs, along with very comfortable bedding, big screen tv in living area and extremely nice decorations to give you the feel of cozy and comfort in every room. All you need to bring is your food.br We supply you with a single stall in our 2 car garage to assure you have a place to park inside if a summer storm would happen to come through, or to put your car in for a cold winter night if you are staying in the cold months.br In floor heat is like no heat you have ever experienced as the heat comes up from the floor instead of from vents blowing air. The AC is a wall unit located in the main living area. It rarely gets hot enough here that it does not cool very nicely throughout the whole house. We do have a large standing fan in the master bedroom if more air is need to be moved in that room if it ever gets that warm. Cozy covered porch complete with patio furniture, washer and dryer along with all the things you will need in the kitchen to prepare a large meal or the smallest snack. We have full cable along with wifi, however we do not provide a computer, so you will need to bring your own device to work with.br The master bedroom is complete with Cable TV, California king size bed ( new mattress fall 2025 ) with very cozy bedding, a master bath and shower along with a desk to work from if you need to do any work from home. 1 large ceiling fan. It also has a large walk in closet. Full view windows to watch wildlife right outside the home in the back yard if you decide to leave the blinds open. We supply 2 twin bunk style mattress's that can be put on the floor in the living room or master bed room for the extra kids or adults to use. You will find them and blankets in the master bed room closet.br The second bedroom is very spacious also, with a huge closet, very comfortable queen size sleigh bed with super cozy bedding, cable tv and ceiling fan. The location is perfect for someone wanting to see all the sites as it is just a short distance to all the hotspots in the Blackhills region. We work very hard to keep everything in great shape by either replacing needed items with new or taking care of things as needed in this home to assure you the best stay with no problems. It is only minutes from Crazy Horse Mountain and also Mount Rushmore. Endless hiking including Black Elk Peak, the highest point in the Black Hills. Multiple lakes less than 3-5 miles away that are excellent for fishing and all types of water sports. Eagle viewing along with many other types of bird watching is unmatched in this location. We have even seen an occasional mountain lion in the area. The deer population is unbelievable. They will come right up to the house and even lay in the backyard, just outside the walls of the home.br This is a very quite neighborhood that is mainly retired individuals that have moved there from all over the country to enjoy the splendor and serenity of the Black Hills, and with that I can assure you, no disappointments from the peaceful sunrises to the crystal clear star lit skies as night falls across the mountain range all around your viewing area from the front or back porch area of this home. br So many have said, there is just nothing like sitting on that back covered porch on those early pristine mornings with a light jacket, deer less than 30 feet away, birds of all kinds awakening with sunrise and the best cup of hot coffee your hands can hold in its warm mug just taking in what mother nature has provided in all its glory. The fact is, we have spent time in Colorado and many other locations around the US and it is no secret that viewing birds and animals in their natural habitat cannot be matched to what you will find in the Black Hills region of South Dakota.br What we and many others like about the Black Hills, is the fact it is so open to hiking and just plain getting out of your car and looking around. Let me tell you it is hard to find a no parking sign in this area. It seems many locations you go to, it is impossible to get out and explore the area, not in The Black Hills.brThis home like our cabin in the country we have on VRBO just outside of Grand Island Nebraska # 4793561 has been set up with the comforts and convenience that are unmatched in most rentals.brEnjoy your stay and make sure to let us know if there is anyway we can help you make it the best vacation you ever had.
