Our home is one of the “Five Sisters” which are five nearly identical Victorian Cottages built in 1876. The home is located just steps from both the Cape Avenue and the Surf Avenue beach accesses. A sandy path winds through the trees and over the dunes to the pristine beaches of Cape May Point. In the evenings, watch beautiful sunsets as you look to the right over the Delaware Bay .We love to travel with our pets, and know that many of you do also, so we decided to make our home one of the few pet friendly rentals in Cape May Point. The house includes lots of outside living space with a wrap around screened in porch, a second floor wrap around balcony, and a back yard patio area with dining furniture and gas grill for your outdoor dining and recreation. The pet friendly back yard is completely fenced in and includes an outdoor pet washing area for the dogs and a outside shower for the rest. Every room in the home is cooled and heated with individual split level units. Xfinity wireless internet is available for your entertainment. Also available for your convenience is a washer and dryer, and outside shower, and plenty of free street parking. Walk to the Cape May Bird Observatory and Lake Lily and watch birds and butterflies during their fall migration. The home is just a three mile drive or bike ride to all of Cape Mays incredible dining, shopping, and entertainment opportunities. Be advised that the stairs to the 2nd floor are original and are steep. Please use caution and both railings as you go up or down. Located less than two blocks from the beach, the property backs up to green acres. With a private front entrance, the entire second floor is yours to enjoy. You have a living room, dining room, large kitchen, three bedrooms and one and a half baths. Sliding doors provide easy access to the rear deck that runs the length of the house. A natural gas grill is on the rear deck for outdoor cooking. There is an outside hot/cold enclosed lighted shower to make the return for the beach much easier. Beach cart, umbrella, and beach chairs are provided for our guests use. The first floor tenant has his own private rear entrance and patio. brbrWe upgraded the kitchen in 2024 with a new counter, sink, and the cabinets have been painted. A new electric stove was installed for the 2023 season. The kitchen has a center island for seating for two and seating for six at the dining room table. The master bedroom contains a large king bed, the front corner bedroom has a king bed and the third bedroom has two new twin beds. The house backs up to green acres so there are no homes behind us. The shared washer and dryer is located on the first floor, access is from the side of the house. brbrNew central air conditioning system was installed in 2021, with a whole house media air cleaner. The flooring was upgraded in 2019 in the kitchen, dining room, living room and hall. We have recently painted the living room, dining room, kitchen and hall. The half bath off the master bedroom has been updated with a new vanity and tile floor. There are five ceiling fans to help cool the rooms. located in the dining room, living room, and the three bedrooms. There is off street parking for two cars. Check in is 4pm and checkout is 10am.brbrThe house has been in our family since it was built and we will be updating the interior each year. We do not allow any pets; some of our family members are allergic to animals. No party groups or smoking is allowed in the house. Rental period is from Saturday to Saturday. The fireplace is non operational during rental season. Linens are available to rent in Cape May.
