The theme park is being touted as Latin America's answer to Disneyland, so do consider this a family-friendly resort!brPuerto Vallarta is just a 10-15 minute taxi ride away if you'd like to try some local food or enjoy the night life. Grab the things you need at Walmart or even Costco on the first night and then enjoy all your favorite snacks and beverages during your stay at the resort! brThe resort features all you would need to have a great vacation: including a small grocery store, a gym, a spa, shopping areas, and lots to see and do. There are plenty of pools, bars, beach access, and excellent restaurants if you prefer to never leave the resort. Transportation around the resort is available, but we do recommend good walking shoes and the willingness to explore. The resort even offers a phone app the includes maps and hours for the various restaurants, bars, stores, and attractions. The WiFi is included and has good coverage throughout almost the entire resort.brThis is a great launchpad for all the nearby excursions. We've enjoyed ziplining, whale watching, and a cool pirate themed dinner show aboard a pirate ship. Check Tripadvisor for many more fun things to see and do if you decide to venture outside the luxury resort grounds.brIncluded in our photos are some of our favorite restaurants on the resort. They have amazing local food at a variety of price ranges. Check the app for specials and happy hours, or to book a reservation at one of the finer restaurants. There are Asian, Italian, American and many other cuisine choices if you somehow get tired of delicious street tacos or fresh chips and salsas. For a special occasion or date night, the steak house is highly recommended. Don't forget to mention the occasion and the staff will surely make your night even more special! These places can book up fast, especially during busy seasons, so plan accordingly and book early!brOn that note, the service is always top notch, with the rooms cleaned and restocked daily, and all the servers, concierges, and bellhops eager to assist you.brIf golf is your thing, we're told the resort has an excellent course. While it's not something we've ever looked into, friends and family have said nothing but good things.brThe resort has a lot of local wildlife, especially worth mentioning are the enormous iguana that laze around everywhere. Our two-bedroom condo is located on the grounds of Marival Distinct Luxury Residences, located in Nuevo Nayarit, Riviera Nayarit, just 15 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta International Airport. The condo, which has a living space of 1675 square feet, is in the main building on the fifth floor which gives you a beautiful view of Banderas Bay. The condo is fully equipped including televisions, microwave, stove, dishwasher and washer and dryer. Amenities include pools, hot tub, fitness centre, tennis court, restaurants, bar and spa. The rooftop restaurant Insu is ranked by Trip Advisor as the fifth best restaurant in Nuevo Vallarta. At the beach there are lounge chairs, where you can sit by an infinity pool or on the beach. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Mozzamare restaurant where you can sit at the restaurant or be served at the beach. We own this unit. This is not a time-share so we have far more flexibility than those renting their time shares. The daily rate does not include the all-inclusive fees. All-inclusive fees are paid directly to Marival Distinct. However, you do not have to do the all-inclusive plan and can pay the menu rates. The fees vary depending on the time of the year.
