Kingdom of the Sun resort stay in Nuevo Vallarta

Your Nuevo Vallarta adventure begins at this welcoming 1-bedroom resort. The room allows up to four adults and children (under 12). Perfect for a small family or even adults who really enjoy traveling together. The room features a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. There is a small kitchen and dining area in the main living area with access to the additional bathroom. The kitchen includes a small refrigerator, microwave, and stove/cooktop, and comes well furnished with dishes and silverware. The living room offers a pair of sofas that can become beds for extra guests. Stay includes access to all resort amenities and shuttle access to the on-site theme park. The theme park is being touted as Latin America's answer to Disneyland, so do consider this a family-friendly resort!
Puerto Vallarta is just a 10-15 minute taxi ride away if you'd like to try some local food or enjoy the night life. Grab the things you need at Walmart or even Costco on the first night and then enjoy all your favorite snacks and beverages during your stay at the resort!
The resort features all you would need to have a great vacation: including a small grocery store, a gym, a spa, shopping areas, and lots to see and do. There are plenty of pools, bars, beach access, and excellent restaurants if you prefer to never leave the resort. Transportation around the resort is available, but we do recommend good walking shoes and the willingness to explore. The resort even offers a phone app the includes maps and hours for the various restaurants, bars, stores, and attractions. The WiFi is included and has good coverage throughout almost the entire resort.
This is a great launchpad for all the nearby excursions. We've enjoyed ziplining, whale watching, and a cool pirate themed dinner show aboard a pirate ship. Check Tripadvisor for many more fun things to see and do if you decide to venture outside the luxury resort grounds.
Included in our photos are some of our favorite restaurants on the resort. They have amazing local food at a variety of price ranges. Check the app for specials and happy hours, or to book a reservation at one of the finer restaurants. There are Asian, Italian, American and many other cuisine choices if you somehow get tired of delicious street tacos or fresh chips and salsas. For a special occasion or date night, the steak house is highly recommended. Don't forget to mention the occasion and the staff will surely make your night even more special! These places can book up fast, especially during busy seasons, so plan accordingly and book early!
On that note, the service is always top notch, with the rooms cleaned and restocked daily, and all the servers, concierges, and bellhops eager to assist you.
If golf is your thing, we're told the resort has an excellent course. While it's not something we've ever looked into, friends and family have said nothing but good things.
The resort has a lot of local wildlife, especially worth mentioning are the enormous iguana that laze around everywhere. These are wild animals, so don't feed them or try to get too close, but they are extremely photogenic and did I mention lazy You will surely get some great photos of these cool lizards.
