The Sanctuary of Sant'Anna is located a few kilometres from Argegno along the provincial road to Schignano. In the centre, you can easily rent a boat, bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and more. You will find high-class restaurants for a romantic or special dinner. There are also some nice bars, with live music in the summertime.brbrThis spacious house, combining a modern style with the elegance of the historical Italian houses, is located in the historic centre of Argegno – close to all the services and the lake.brbrbrbrGETTING AROUNDbrbrFor the guests' convenience, we suggest arriving by car.brbrGuests who do not arrive by car can use public transportation to get around. There are ASF Autolinee buses (C10 and C20) in operation in the area. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places (see their website). Bus stops near the property, and the bus will take you to Como city and other nearby towns.brbrFrom the pier in Argegno, a local ferry service will take you to Como and other lakeside towns. Please note – if traveling in high season, we advise you to be patient with long waiting lines at the ticket office (especially in Como city). Tickets can also be bought online on the Navigazione Laghi website.brbrUnfortunately, most public transportation services stop before 10 pm, the boats even earlier. Taxis are also available, but not easily attainable in the region.brbrFrom Como San Giovanni station, there are regular trains departing to Milano Centrale and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From Como Nord Lago, there is a train connection to Milano Cadorna.brbrThe nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle!brbrIf you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that connects the lakeside towns from Colonno to Griante and doesn't require too much walking uphill. A bus will take you to the starting point in Colonno.brbrTake the cable car to Pigra. From the village, there are numerous hiking trails, ranging from easy to challenging.brbrLook for traditional restaurants where you can try local foods such as Lake Como fish dishes.brbrIn Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly.brbrLake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. Look for Lido di Argegno. There are also beaches in other towns. Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio which lies in the middle of the two Larian branches. Locals and visitors also enjoy travelling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall.brbrLake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. MULINO ROYAL is a detached house located on the bank of the river Telo, in Argegno town center. It is a detached house on two levels, which can accommodate up to 4 people. It consists of: living room, kitchen, 2 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and balcony. The flat is equipped with Wi-Fi, TV, heating.bADDITIONAL INFORMATION/bMULINO ROYAL is an house converted from an old mill, of which the mill disc can still be seen. The house was recently renovated, with quality materials.brbrMULINO ROYAL Lake Como is on two levels. On the ground floor: a spacious entrance hall with living room with sofa and TV area. The kitchen is fully equipped with induction hob, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. There is a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the river. Finally on this floor there is a bathroom with shower. On the first floor is the attic sleeping area with two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and washing machine.brbrThe house can only be reached on foot and has no private parking space (public parking spaces are 300 metres away). It offers Wi-Fi throughout the house and can accommodate up to 4 people. Although the flat has no air conditioning, it remains cool even in summer thanks to its partial construction in the rock and its location along the river.bACCESSIBILITY AND PARKING/bMULINO ROYAL can only be reached on foot by walking a short distance through the pedestrian centre of Argegno. Public pay car parks are 300 metres away, where daily parking tickets must be displayed, which we can sell at a cost of € 3.50 per day. bARGEGNO & SURROUNDINGS/bbrbrArgegno is a very lively village throughout the year. The village offers shops, restaurants, bars, a pharmacy, post office, banks, schools, a beautiful equipped beach, a charming little harbour, a characteristic historical centre, but above all countless natural beauties that can be admired thanks to pleasant walks. Well connected by public transport via boats and buses, it is easily accessible to and from all lake destinations. It is 20 km from Como and 15 km from Cernobbio, where there is the motorway entrance to Milan and Lugano.brbrIn Argegno you can rent a boat or bicycles, relax at the Lido, reach the village of Pigra (by cable car or by car), take the boat to explore the other villages on the lake and walk in the middle of nature.brbrOn Monday mornings, there is a market on the Lungo Lago di Argegno: fish, cheese, cold cuts, flowers and clothes.
