Our cottage, with private parking and open fire with fuel, is located in Croesor, within the Snowdonia National Park between Cnicht (a pyramid shaped mountain popular with climbers and hikers) and the Moelwyn range of mountains. There are varied and stunning walks available straight from the front door! The seaside at Morfa Bwchan (Black Rock Sands) is a short drive away near Porthmadog, and boasts large stretches of beautiful yellow sands, set between the castles of Criccieth and Harlech. There is a local shop and cafe/restaurant in Llanfrothen, two miles away. The nearest big supermarkets (Tesco/Aldi/Lidl) are in Porthmadog, 8 miles from Croesor. There is often a cafe in the village, as well as at the Brondanw estate a mile from Croesor. The Brondanw estate, with its beautifully kept gardens was the family home of Clough Williams-Ellis, the famous architect of Portmeirion, 10 miles from the house.brbrOur living room is equiped with an open fire with fuel, two sofas, TV with Amazon Prime stick, DVD player, table with 5 comfy chairs, kitchen area with an oven and 4 hobs, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment, kettle, toaster, washing machine and dishwasher. The property is available for rental all year. We recommend walking to Beddgelert, following the stream over Nantmoor, through the Eyri forest and along the world famous Aberglasslyn pass where you will find several pubs and restaurants. The pyramid shaped mount cincht(meaning Knight) and the Moelyn mountains. Have a short walk along the mountain river, where there are opportunities to play pooh sticks or just give the dogs a walk.brbrHike up the Roman road, to catch the Ffestiniog steam railway at Tan y Bwlch station, where there is a gentle walk around the very scenic lake. You can also walk down to the Oakeley Arms through majestic trees and down the densely Forested track.
