This property is located on Chokoloskee Island in the Florida Everglades. It's a fish camp community that includes your own boat dock. Available boat lift for small additional fee not affiliated with property but onsite. There are two other boat launch locations on the island to utilize just 2 minutes from property. A small fee that can be left in the box outside if after hours. In addition, there is a fish cleaning area and ice for sale. However, bring ice with you. There is an additional full freezer on the property for keeping ice bags, freeze your catch, etc. Amenities include a washer and dryer. A screened in porch, charcoal grill and charcoal with lighter fluid provided. At night the stars are amazing and endless. Out on the water as you head toward the Gulf of Mexico, or to the back country for some amazing fishing, you will instantly feel the stress of everyday life melt away. Tons of incredible sights to see whether it's dolphin swimming along the side of your boat or an eagle, osprey, sea turtle, manatee, and many other beautiful wildlife that call the everglades home. The fishing is incredible. From reds, snook, to tarpon and more. You do need fishing license which is obtainable online.brbrKeep in mind this is an island off the beaten path. It's paradise with an intention for fishing and nature. Your days will be best experienced out in the water or discovering the local life and other attractions such as fishing guide services, or spending a bit of time looking through the history of the island at Smallwood Museum only a few minute walk from the property. Evenings are generally quiet and peaceful with billions of stars to gaze. brbrOur property is a great place for those looking to bring their own boat and have a private slip to park it when they aren't in the water fishing or checking out the different key islands. Most keys on the outside along the Gulf of Mexico within the Everglades National Park are free of many people. There may be campers but for the most part you will go for hours without seeing a single other human. You will see beautiful sites of wildlife in and out of the water. Enjoy sitting on one of the sandy beaches as the waves meet the beach and the sea breeze blows through your hair.
