It is situated in a quiet courtyard yet a stone throw away from the hustle and bustle of the city.brbrThe main living space is open plan incorporating a lounge/dining area/newly refurbished and well stocked kitchen area.brbrThe lounge has a smart TV, an electric fire and sumptuous furnishings creating a very cozy feel.brbrAll bedrooms have good size wardrobes or drawers and super comfy mattresses. The bathroom has also been refurbished.brbrIn addition to the main bathroom and the downstairs toilet the master bedroom has an additional electric shower.brbrParking is provided free and next to the house within the courtyard and therefore off the main street. It has been newly decorated throughout to a high standard, with a new kitchen and shower room (no bath). The rear garden has been immaculately landscaped. In the warmer months of the year I am sure it will be enjoyed as an additional private space to relax in! There are smart TVs in all rooms but the shower room. WIFI speeds are 17MB download and 1.2MB upload.brbrGround Floor:brThe entrance hallway leads to the front living room and kitchen diner to the rear.brbrIn the living room are two comfy double sofas, an electric fire and Smart TV. The house is naturally warm so you may not need to use the electric fire, but it is there if you need a warmth boost!brbrThe kitchen has all mod-cons for a comfortable stay; fridge freezer, electric hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a washer dryer too which in kept in the garage. The garage is more for storage than use of a car because it can only be opened from the inside. You are more than welcome to use this space for luggage, pushchairs or bikes.brbrIn the kitchen diner there is plenty of natural light which comes through the windows and double patio doors. It makes a wonderful, bright, multifunctional space for breakfast at home, catching up on your latest TV series, or socialising.brbrThere will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey! There will be some complimentary tea/coffee waiting for you which I am sure will be useful for those arriving after a long journey!brThe kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, a washer dryer, a range cooker and an American fridge freezer as well as all the usual small kitchen appliances, such as a toaster, kettle and microwave. You can access all digital channels as well as being able to sign in to various streaming apps using the Fire TV remote.brbrDining & KitchenbrThe stylish kitchen is equipped with everything you`ll need to make meals for your group. The bed in this room is a small double, meaning it`s slightly narrower than a standard double. This makes for a generous size bed for one person and a more snuggly size for two. This means you can easily climb the nearby steps and walk on the walls around to Micklegate, or further on to York Railway Station and into the city.brbrSome of York`s best restaurants and cafes are close by on Bishopthorpe `Bishy` Road and Micklegate.brbrBishopthorpe `Bishy` Road is a perfect example of a local high street with a strong independent identity. It has everything you`ll need during your stay including restaurants, cafes, pubs, bakeries, hairdressers, butchers and even a hardware store!brbrMicklegate leads you into the city centre and again has some great cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars, and independent shops. Partisan, Rattle Owl and Skosh are all highly recommended places to eat during your visit.brbrCheck out the Guidebook for more recommendations.brbrParkingbrThe house is situated in a resident parking zone and it`s usually easy to park directly outside the house. We can provide a visitor parking permit for one car for your entire stay for £10.brbrOnce you arrive, you shouldn`t really need your car again unless you`re visiting somewhere out of the city. The house is perfectly located for walking to all of York`s attractions. The city centre is only 10 mins walk, and you`ve got Bishy Road (6 mins) and Micklegate (6 mins) practically on your doorstep, which have some of York`s best restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs.brbrIf you want to head to Designer Outlet for some shopping, you can get a Number 7 bus from Prices Lane (2 mins walk) which will take you straight there.brbrParkingbrA visitor on-street parking permit is available for the entire duration of your stay. The cost of this is £10.
