Central location with parking. Morpeth is known as the gateway to Northumberland. The town has plenty of supermarkets, restaurants, pubs and cafés. The park is a place to relax, grab a bite to eat from local takeaways, feed the ducks or just let kids go wild in the playground. The river in the town has rowing boats and the weekly Wednesday market is worth a visit. Northumberland is a diverse county with miles of beautiful unspoilt coastline with lovely beaches and castles, a stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Inland you will find the Northumberland National Park with Kielder Water making a super day out. Some people like to hike in the Cheviots, or take a boat trip to the Farne Islands or spend a day over at Holy Island driving over the causeway at certain times of the day. Alnwick Castle is easily reached up the A1 where you can visit the castle which is now famous for the Harry Potter scenes in the early films. All of this is easily accessible from Cottingburn House with the major roads only a couple of minutes away. Beach 9 miles. The lodge boasts all the mod cons and is a home away from home property. With an open plan layout, the kitchen/dining area overlooks the sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped and comes with a washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine and plenty of cooking utensils.brbrThe bathroom consists of a shower, WC and basin and heated towel rail. The en-suite is located in the master bedroom which consists of a king size bed, dressing table, and walk in wardrobe. All bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TV's. The twin room has plenty of storage and two full size single beds.brbrThe lodge boasts SKY TV (movies and sports), games, fresh linen and a welcome hamper.brbrThe exterior of the lodge has a large wrap around terrace and the deluxe hot tub is located at the rear of the property providing privacy. There is external subtle lighting that lights up the trees when dark, providing a great backdrop when in the hot tub. We have placed a canopy over the hot tub, so it doesn't matter if it rains, you can relax and enjoy in all seasons.brbrStag Lodge is dog friendly, we accept up to two dogs at no extra cost.
