The Ferry Boat Inn and The Anchorstone Cafe are just a short stroll away right by the quayside where water sports enthusiasts can hire paddle boards and boats. brbrAccommodation:brbrFrom the entrance foyer with space for coats and boots, there's the stylish open-plan living space - a blend of modern-meets-retro with traditional cottage features. Two comfortable, contrasting sofas centre around the large log burner with its original stone hearth - perfect for snuggling up on those chillier winter evenings whilst watching a film on the wall mounted TV.brbrThe chic dining table with white marble top and brushed gold legs with sumptuous velvet dining chairs comfortably seats four.brbrThe well-equipped shaker-style kitchen has an oven and hob as well as a dishwasher, Nespresso Coffee Maker and toaster. A canopied and an open patio gives you a choice of spaces for you to relax and dine. There's parking for two cars, plus ideally located for the riverside and village amenities.brbrAccommodation: brbrThe front door leads into the large but cosy open-plan living room. It's filled with character with a slate floor throughout, exposed beams, and whitewashed stone walls. The lounge area has three sofas and a TV. (The pictured log burner is for decoration only).brbrThe dining area has a long table that comfortably seats seven. The Nook is in a truly peaceful, 'chocolate box' location. Perfect for one couple or a small family to relax in this beautiful riverside village and explore the wider South Hams. A very pretty holiday cottage, this Grade II-listed building is about 350 years old and has been lovingly renovated to a wonderful standard, combining modern living with lots of original cottage features to ensure a very comfortable stay year-round. The open-plan living area is a charming space with an exposed stone fireplace and painted beams making the cosy room feel light and airy. Upstairs the master bedroom keeps the cute cottage theme going and the second bedroom with a single bed and futon for younger families sharing. There is a private garden at the rear for alfresco dining in the summer and a log burner for chillier winters, there is also private parking for one car and the village amenities are a short walk away.brbrbrAccommodation:brbrThe cottage can be entered from the front door on Lower Street or from the parking at the rear via the patio. The front door opens from the road into the hallway with space for coats and boots as well as a general storage cupboard. Through to the living room, a light and airy space, beautifully furnished, very much with comfort in mind. With white-washed walls, oak flooring and exposed beams to set the ambience. The lounge area is centred around the large inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove, two sofas and an armchair as well as a window seat. There's a TV with DVD player, with included premium TV channels (BT TV). The dining area has a prettily painted dining table and chairs.brbrA doorway and hatch lead through to the kitchen which overlooks the back garden. The slate-floored, shaker-style kitchen is well stocked for mealtimes, and also houses an integrated washer-dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven and halogen hob, and microwave. From the kitchen, a stable door leads to the patio garden and the parking.brbrA traditional curved stairway leads up to the first floor from the lounge. The master bedroom maintains the cute cottagey feel and is furnished with a painted oak kingsize bed with side tables, plenty of storage space and a built-in wardrobe. The second bedroom has a single bed and a single futon.brbrThe modern bathroom has a bath with an electric shower over, and a heated towel rail.brbrThis cottage may not be suitable for small children or the elderly. The closest beach is Blackpool Sands, a 10-minute drive in the nearby village of Stoke Fleming.
