Stayed Jan 1, 1Located at the top of the beautiful village in a small private development, this comfortable modern ‘cottage’ style property with parking made our stay easy and practical. Great location to explore the stunning area but a solid climb back up the hill should you walk down to the wonderful local pub, The Ferry Boat Inn (FBI). However the views of the River Dart make the walk worthwhile. Additional ‘home’ comforts such as blankets, local interest books and the odd board game would benefit the property, but these are personal preferences. It is worth noting the village community shop opens in the morning only and is a great asset, but make sure you bring some extra rations with you, just in case you want some extra choices. We absolutely loved our stay and communication throughout was excellent.

Stayed Jan 1, 1We've used dart valley cottages before and they never disappoint. This cottage is stunning and brought back lots of childhood memories for my mum. The cottage itself is perfect, the grounds are gorgeous and the location is ideally situated for us. Will definitely be returning, thank you.

Stayed Jan 1, 1The cottage was beautifully clean and tidy and the location is excellent for exploring the South Hams however the court was not peaceful at all during the late evening with neighbours coming in between 11pm and midnight and calling their dog loudly which is let out to poo all over the orchard which is left and not picked up (not good when children like to play out there). The building work on that property then starts at 8am with the builders arriving before that. Also the shower is very noisy and so is the shower of the adjoining cottage when used very late at night! The water pressure was very variable, sometimes good but often going to a trickle, making the shower difficult to use at all. All in all we definitely wouldn’t return to this Court.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Lovely week once again in Orchard Cottage - the only point we would raise is that it would be helpful to have some instructions for the TV, cooker and upstairs en-suite shower. Apart from that the cottage is ideal for a break in a lovely part of Devon.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The property is in a great location for exploring the area. It is walking distance to a good pub and the passenger ferry to a number of locations including Dartmouth. If you have a paddleboard or canoe, don't forget to take them with you! We really enjoyed our stay, however the instructions for the key safe are not correct on the arrival details so it did take us a while to find the key! The property would also benefit from blackout curtains in the bedrooms as in the Summer it is very light in the morning which makes it difficult to have a lie in.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969It was our first time visiting Devon and we fell in love with Dittisham. Perfect for the dog and our baby. The village is amazingly quiet and peaceful. The cottage was exactly what we needed, a lovely space. Dart valley cottages went above and beyond for our needs and we felt very welcomed. The relaxing break we needed. The cottage is dated in places but was nice and clean throughout. We will definitely be considering staying here again in the future.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a lovely short break in Dittisham. The cottage was thoughtfully prepared and equipped with everything you might need. We had a comfortable stay and didn’t want for anything. It would be helpful to let guests know that the smoke alarms are sensitive to steam from the bathroom, so the bathroom door should be kept shut to avoid them being set off.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Lovely setting. House very comfortable with lovely sunny patio. Recommend the short walk to the quay and taking the boat across to Greenway House. Dartmouth a short drive, but Park & Ride provides an excellent service and is great value for money.
