Brookside Cottage is a handsome slate traditional Lakeland cottage in the village of Windermere sleeping 6 people in a spacious setting. The centre of the village is only a few minutes walk away and bustling Bowness and Lake Windermere is a 20 minutes stroll but the cottage also has a fantastic hidden garden. In here, relax and listen to the bubbling beck running through the garden and watch the birds. The cottage has been tastefully and stylishly converted whilst retaining many original features.brbrbrThis beautifully presented cottage is split over 3 floors; downstairs, we have the fully equipped modern kitchen with everything you could possibly need for your stay whilst just off the kitchen is the family room, which was originally two rooms. This beguiling space has now been converted into a large lounge and dining area, complete with comfortable seating around the large smart TV complete with Netflix, or indeed enjoy the striking fireplace, if you prefer to watch the mesmerizing flames at the end of the day, after exploring the Lake District. There is a generous dining table in this open plan area.brbrbrUpstairs on the first floor are two bedrooms, one a king size and the other a 3/4 size bed, each tastefully decorated and spacious with plenty of storage room. On this floor also is the family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. There are a further two bedrooms located on the second floor, a king size and a single. In these rooms, see the history of the cottage with period original wooden beams and sloping ceilings. You may have to watch your head a little in these rooms. Each bedroom has its own TV for you to enjoy.brbrbrOutside, you have the amazing hidden garden. Hard to believe you are only a few minutes walk from the centre of the village yet you have your own riverside garden. There is a lovely patio area with seating on the one side looking down onto the small beck which you can cross (using the stepping stones or you can avoid the stones by using the side gate) onto slopping lawned area.
