White Moss is a 4-star Gold awarded luxury Lake District cottage located in Windermere Village in the heart of the English Lake District. White Moss sleeps up to 12 guests in 5 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. White Moss welcomes hen nights, family celebrations, anniversary parties and group holidays. We offer a choice of break lengths: 3-night weekends, great value mid-week deals and 7-night packages. White Moss is a fantastic choice for your large luxury cottage in Windermere.

White Moss features 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (plus a downstairs toilet). Both the lounge and dining rooms have wood-burning. The well-equipped kitchen has both an AGA and a gas/electric range cooker. We have parking for 6 cars. There is access to a fast EV charger located on the maintenance building adjacent to Boston House.

We welcome up to 4 dogs at the property. There is an additional charge per dog, which can be added at check-out.

    We had a fantastic weekend at White Moss. Andy and Barbara were incredibly helpful on the run up by answering all of the questions we had as we were booking for a large group (26) across two houses. The house had everything we could have needed and the outdoor space was perfect for enjoying the sun. The location was perfect and was only a short walk away from shops, restaurants and the lake. We would definitely return and would recommend this property to anyone looking to host a family gathering or weekend away with friends.

    Great property, lovely area. We were 3 families and able to accommodate the sleeping arrangements sufficiently. A little tricky with a room for 3 and a room for 4, but we managed! Hot tub was a nice touch too. Thanks for a lovely stay

    Fantastically located and equipped house, ideal for a group trip to the Lakes. Andrew was a brilliant communicator and all the information was provided in a clear way in advance of our stay, he was incredibly helpful throughout the booking process and responsive to any questions we had. The house itself had everything needed and was spotless on arrival. The hot tub was an extra special treat after a day in the fells. The location was perfect, within easy walking distance to Windermere and access to the South Lakes and beyond. It's also only a 2 minute walk from Windermere train station for those travelling without cars. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay for large groups in The Lake District.

    We loved the property and the great location.There is everything you need within the house to make it an enjoyable stay. The cinema room and hot tub were both enjoyed by all. We had a wonderful stay over the New Year period.

    I honestly worried that White Moss (on The Terrace, Windermere) would be too good to be true. We got a fantastic price for a midweek stay for 7 people, and found the place absolutely spotless. The hot tub was great, the kitchen, dining room and living space are all ideal, and the bedrooms are mostly quite spacious. The location is unparalleled, right next to Windermere station, so easy access to both trains and buses (including to nearby Bowness and Ambleside). The team were responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, White Moss was fantastically good value and we would be thrilled to stay there again, or to recommend it to others.

    We had a wonderful time staying at The Terraces, Windermere. White Moss Cottage was perfect for us, it was more spacious than we expected and easily accommodated 8 adults and 3 young children. It was very comfortable and warm it also had everything that we needed, everyone really enjoyed the hot tub even in the rain! The cottage had parking for at least 6 cars but if you’re arriving by train the station is just around the corner next to the excellent supermarket Booths. You will also find the many excellent independent shops, pubs and restaurants just a short walk from the cottage. In summary the location was fantastic, with plenty of walks and activities nearby. We would highly recommend The Terraces to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Windermere.

    Perfect accommodation for all our family, children and grandchildren. This house has everything you need and is in a great location for exploring the Lake District. My only gripe would be that the bed pillows were not comfortable, very flat, but this did not impact our enjoyment of the house and the area.

    The whole property was clean. 6 car parking slot. And very well equipped. Kitchen was full stocked with utensils. We will definitely come back and recommend anyone who wants to spend time in lakeside.
