Less than three miles away is Bigbury on Sea a village with a large sandy beach (surf school, cafe) and stretching to Burgh Island (famous art deco hotel, setting for Agatha Christie novels). Good golf course at Bigbury. The South West Coast Path is worth exploring as is the real ale pub in the nearby coastal village of Ringmore. A little further afield the traditional market town of Kingsbridge sits at the head of the many creeked Kingsbridge Estuary (boat trips), and plays host to a number of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries and antique shops. Further afield sensational Salcombe at the mouth of the Kingsbridge estuary with its many cove beaches and boutique shops is worth a visit. St Ann’s Chapel is a picturesque hamlet, and a perfect base for exploring this diverse and interesting area.

These are private ponds with only guests being able to fish. This keeps them in great condition and means there are always plenty of spots available. Stocked fish include Carp, Mirror Carp and Tench. Top fish weight is about 17lbsbrbrLakeside is spacious and very well furnished. brbrFrom the large upstairs balcony you have superb views over the Cornish countryside.brbrThere are slate floors and low beamed ceilings in the lounge area, a large leather sofa with matching arm chairs perfect for slumping into after a hard day out.
