Fox Den Cabin at Granite Point

Seward, Alaska, United States

*Please read full description before booking.*brbrAbout Granite PointbrbrGranite Point is a remote haven located on Resurrection Bay, just 12 miles from Seward, Alaska. Accessible only by boat or helicopter, the property features four private cabins and one larger lodge, all perched on a dramatic cliffside. This unique location offers unparalleled views of Resurrection Bay and the surrounding mountains.brbrFor adventurers, Granite Point is a dream come true. Enjoy direct access to our private beach, hiking trails, and complimentary use of paddleboards and kayaks. Steps from your door, find world-class paddling—explore alongside humpback whales, sea lions, and porpoises while birdwatching, fishing, or simply soaking in the magic of the fjords.brbrPlease note, this is a remote setting. To reach your cabin, guests will ascend four steep staircases and traverse a short 30-yard trail. As such, travelers should be self-reliant, in good physical condition, and prepared for a bit of adventure. We recommend backpack-style packing, as suitcases can be difficult to manage on the stairs. Be sure to bring gear suited to your activities, including sturdy hiking boots, full rain gear, and warm synthetic layers. Additionally, guests should plan to bring their own food and ice for coolers. The bathrooms provided are outhouses or composting toilets.brbrAbout Fox Den CabinbrbrFox Den Cabin is perched atop a 150-foot cliff, offering panoramic views that are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Constructed with solid cedar timbers, this exceptional cabin features a 10 x 12 partially covered cedar sun deck, the perfect spot to relax and take in the view. Watch whales glide by as you unwind and soak in the wild Alaska experience.brbrInside, you’ll find a queen bed and full futon bed, and a well-appointed kitchenette, complete with a two-burner propane cooktop, oven, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, and a French press for your morning coffee. A cozy dining area with tables and stools allows you to enjoy your meals while gazing out over the Bay.brThe cabin uses a rainwater catchment system to bring water to the kitchen sink. brbrLighting is provided by energy-efficient, battery-operated LED lamps—no electricity, just the peace and quiet of nature. For warmth on chilly nights, a direct-vent propane heater keeps the cabin toasty.brbrFox Den Cabin also includes a private fire ring just outside, perfect for toasting marshmallows and savoring Alaska’s long summer nights. All you need to bring is yourself and your provisions, and you’ll be ready to start your unforgettable Alaskan adventure!brNo smoking inside of the cabinbrbrQuiet Hours are from 11 PM to 7 AM: please be considerate of your neighbors who are also staying at Granite PointbrbrPack In, Pack Out: due to our remote location, Granite Point is unable to manage the trash of our guests, please take it with you when you leave on the water taxibrbrGranite Point is intimately immersed with its environment: we ask that you are conscious of Leave No Trace Principles while you are herebrbrPets are welcome, please be prepared to carry out their solid waste

Aurora Skies Lodging - Private Cabin with Open Loft Bedroom - Sleeps 3-6

Seward, Alaska, United States

Welcome to Aurora Skies Lodging!!brbrThe Australis Cabin is close to Lost Lake Trailhead and family-friendly activities. A hidden gem just three miles outside of Seward city limits. You’ll love it because of the high ceilings, the kitchen, the open floor plan, the comfy beds, and the coziness. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families.brbrOne of two beautiful little loft cabins nestled just off of a dirt road in the mountains about three miles outside of Seward city limits.brbrThere is a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot. We offer a wireless sound system, complementary wifi and a 40 smart TV. The cabin also includes a Bar-B-Q grill on the back porch for outdoor grilling and a fire-pit for roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories. Please bring your own firewood for the fire pit and charcoal for grilling.brbrThe cabin sleeps 3-6 in three queen sized beds. Be advised that two of the beds are located in the loft of the cabin. In order to access the loft one must climb a ladder like staircase. The third bed is on the first floor for those guests who are squeamish about heights. There are three queen beds in all. We ask that the host provide an accurate guest count at booking so that we may provide the appropriate amenities for each guest. Unfortunately, we can not host parties larger than 6 and pets are not allowed on the property.brbrThe cabin is one of two identical cabins on our property. Your neighbor is also a guest of ours. Please be respectful of their stay by keeping late night noises to a minimum.brbr**Please note that the fire pit is subject to availability in winter months due to possibility of heavy snow.brbrWe are located just off the Seward Hwy on a dirt road that is well maintained by the city of Seward during all four seasons.brbrThere is private parking available for up to three vehicles next to your cabin. You are welcome to park a snow-machine trailer or small boat, but doing so will count as one of the three vehicles. Please allow plenty of room for the guests staying in the cabin next to yours to park and exit the driveway at all times. No RV parking or tent camping on the property.brbrThe cabin is located just 1/4 mile from the Lost Lake Trailhead! Cross-country skiing, biking, and hiking is allowed on the shoulder of the road. Snow-machining to the trailhead from the cabin is also permitted. **Please note, there is not a private off-road trail from the cabin for skiing, hiking, biking, or snow-machining to the trailhead.brbrOther things to note;brbrSECURITY SYSTEMbrThe cabin has an active “Ring Doorbell” for securing the safety of our guests and property. The system is located to the left of the front door under the porch light and provides the owners a view of the front porch and driveway with audio.brbrEARLY CHECK-INbrDue to increased cleaning protocols we are unable to promise checkin times before 4:00 pm. Request for an early check-in must be communicated with the host through direct message only. Upon request, we are happy to let you know as soon as your cabin is ready on the day of your arrival.brbrCRIB/HIGHCHAIR REQUESTbrIf you would like to make use of our travel crib or highchair please request it before you arrive so that we can make sure it is in the cabin at check-in. Storage in the cabin is limited so we keep these items off site until needed.brbrWATER USAGE:brYour cabin uses a private well and septic system. Please conserve water whenever possible and never flush anything other than toilet paper.
