Very convenient location for visiting the Fairbanks area. The house has a queen size bed and a sofa . Upstairs is an enclosed loft with a full sized bed. Less than 5 minutes up the road is a nice hiking trail that can take you all the way to Ester Dome. The village of Ester offers the Golden Eagle Saloon where you can meet friendly locals and grill your own burger. On your visit to Ester you will also pass the friendly log cabin Ester post office. About five minute drive to Fairbanks brings you to Lemongrass, one of Fairbanks' favorite Thai restaurants. There are also two convenience stores nearby (Ester Gas and Gold Hill gas station) as well as large grocery stores (about 6 miles) such as Safeway and Fred Meyer. brbrThere is a nice bike path in front of the house that can take you to Ester or to Fairbanks. All of the Fairbanks area, especially the University of Alaska and its museum, is close by and the drive to Fairbanks is a short five minutes on the highway. brbrDowntown Fairbanks, Fairbanks Farmer's Market, Pioneer Park and many other Fairbanks tourist destinations are within 15 minute drive.
