The home has been specifically designed to cater to all those little things you would have wanted in order to provide for a hassle free time on the beach--including deck chairs, beach towels, and all the basic kitchen amenities.brbrThe home consists of 3 bedrooms ( 1 king, 1 queen, 2 twins). There is also a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. There are 2 baths inside (1 with shower, 1 with tub/shower combo). An outdoor bath and shower is located on the lower deck. It is fully private and has both hot and cold water. brbrThere is a TV located in each bedroom and also in the living room. Wifi is also provided. A DVD player is located in the living room, and a sampling of movies is provided. brbrThe home features open plan living, with the kitchen, living, and dining all composing one large room with a commanding view of the ocean. Dolphins can often been seen right from this room.brbrOff of this main living area, you will find a large deck overlooking the ocean which is perfect for lounging and watching the waves. Rocking chairs and lounge chairs are provided, along with a picnic table. A portion of the deck is covered, so it can be enjoyed even in the heat of the day. A staircase off of the deck leads you right down to the beach--with no walkways or boardwalks to cross. If you like beach life, you will love Seashell Sanctuary. This property has it all. You name it, from a gorgeous, wide, white sand beach and beautiful water of the gulf to pools galore! It has basketball, tennis, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Hot tubs and a workout room and did I mention the beach From the moment that you turn onto the property and drive down the beautifully landscaped, winding entry road, you will know that you have found something special. Families that discover the Plantation return year after year. It is far enough from the congested condo section, of Gulf Shores, to benefit from much less crowded beaches, yet a nice beautiful drive into town will land you at some of the best restaurants, night life, and family entertainment around including water parks, go carts and miniature golf. Seashell Sanctuary features three bedrooms and three baths on each side of the house. There are granite counter tops in the kitchen, and baths along with premium mirrors which have added a touch of class to the beach. The furniture is cleaned on a regular basis and replaced when it begins to show wear. Bring the whole family and share the expense. Seashell Sanctuary will sleep 18 people if both sides are rented. The Abalone side (VRBO.com/608340) will sleep 8 and the Blue Whelk side (VRBO.com/608341) will sleep 10. Black-out curtains gives privacy and comfort to the guest using the high quality, double pump, inflatable mattresses in the living room. The three baths really come in handy for this as well. One of the baths is located on the main level along with the living room, kitchen, and one of the king bedrooms. The other two baths are located upstairs along with the other two bedrooms. The master has an ensuite bath. Seashell Sanctuary is in a constant state of renovation and we are continuously making improvements. Some of the latest improvements are: Wood ceilings in the master bedroom, master bathroom and the kitchen. Secured, high speed internet, improved cable TV, new washer and dryer, new dishwasher, multiple smart TVs. In 2021 we added a new porch swing and new refrigerator to the “Blue Whelk” side and the “Abalone” side got a new refrigerator in 2023. Both sides received new outdoor furniture in 2023. All of the TVs are flat screens. The living room now has a 55 inch, the master has a 48 inch and the other bedrooms have 40” TVs so that you don't have to miss the big game while you are at the beach. Outdoor furniture, on the over-sized deck, will allow you to sit in comfort while enjoying your breakfast in the morning, coffee in the afternoon, and wine in the evening, all while listening to the music of the waves crashing against the sandy shore and watching the children swimming in one of the beautiful, tropically landscaped pools.

We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home! That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like It is generally solid and ran 250Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests troubleshooting it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though!brbrPARKINGbrThere is available onsite, offstreet, parking for at least 6 midsize vehicles if you use space under the home and stack well. In duplex units, please be neighborly about this.brbrSOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETCbrAs with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a starter supply of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds.
