Villa with beautiful view on 'Etna and Taormina, private garden and pool

Really nice place, ideally situated on the slopes of the Etna. Not very far from the different hiking starts on the mountain.The owners are also wine producers and are really friendly!We had a great stay! Thanks!

A great villa, garden, and pool, with a friendly, kind, and helpful family.

We had a fantastic time. Salvo was an incredible host and we were enamoured with the beautiful house, gardens and lovely swimming pool! We also loved his moms pasta dishes - the best food we had during our time in Sicily! The town of Santa Venerina is a short walk away and has plenty of restaurants and a decent Supermarket too. Would love to come back for another visit.

We had a very good time in this villa, located in Santa Venerina, with a lovely pool! A good starting point for visiting Etna, Taormina, Siracusa and Alcantara Gorge. Very friendly hosts who take good care. We loved it!

Salvo and his family were very welcoming. They gave us some of their tasty home grown vegetables, along with wine, pastries pasta and cake. They even provided and lit their own charcoal for our bbqs. Great views from the balconies of Etna and the sea. The pool was amazing!

My family and I spent a wonderful ten days at this villa, enjoying the hospitality of Salvo, Alfina, Angela and Enzo. Such a lovely family who made us feel very welcome and treated us to samples of lovely homemade food, refreshing treats by the pool and wine made from the family's vineyard. The villa is beautiful and the gardens are wonderful, as is the setting, very clean, secure and well kept. The pool is stunning with Mount Etna dominating the skyline behind. The villa is well placed for exploring the surrounding areas of Catania and Taormina and of course Mt Etna but a car is definitely an asset. I would highly recommend Villa del Sole and would hope one day to return. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the opportunity to experience such a captivating country, Thank you again to our hosts. The Firmstone family x

Enjoyed a great week with my husband, daughter, son in law & our granddaughter in this spacious, very clean, well equipped, beautiful villa with sea & mountain views. High quality cot, high chair & baby gate provided by the kind owners, a family of four who made us very much at home & let us feel nothing was too much trouble. The large private pool was a real winner, again immaculately clean with quality sun beds, family table & beautiful views. This was very much a family holiday where we wanted to relax and remain fairly home based & Villa Del Sole was the perfect place to do this. We had a lovely time staying at this house for our holiday in late September. We had everything we needed with lots of peace and quiet for the 2 of us. The house has plenty of space with 2 bedrooms and 2 lovely balconies; one for breakfast in the morning sun, and the other with views of the vineyards and Mount Etna. The swimming pool and area is spacious and peaceful with views of Etna. Even though by late September when we stayed, the temperature in Sicily is less than the height of the summer and so the water is a little cooler, we did enjoy spending time by the pool and swimming in it. The owners live onsite/ next door and are a lovely local family. They were fantastic and generous hosts, from making us feel at home with their hospitality, to giving us useful help and recommendations for the best local restaurants in the nearby village and sampling some of their local produce. The house is on a hill side with great views. The local village where we ate and drank is within a 20 minute walking distance or 5 mins in a car. With a car you can easily access the attractions and beaches in a short space of time. Our first trip to Sicily was made even more delightfully memorable by the house and our lovely hosts, Salvo, Angela and Enzo.

Superb accommodation and hospitality. I can highly recommend this villa for its privacy, hospitality of the hosts/ Alfina who is onsite, the pool, location to beaches, Taormina and of course Mt Etna. Taormina and Etna well worth it. The house is well appointed and the views are spectacular, Etna one side and the coast the other. The pool area and grounds are splendid! 'We' inc wife and two boys aged 6 & 9 were very sad to leave Villa del Sole - enjoy it!
