Stayed Nov 27, 2024The location is ideal for Akumal, as you can walk to everything. The layout of the house is ideal, as each room has its own bathroom and great common areas. Oh the view! Ingrid is awesome to work with too. The house is well stocked with most things one could need.

Stayed Mar 19, 2024From the moment you walk up the front walk through the beautiful garden you've arrived in your own piece of paradise. Check in was seamless, the unit is spacious and homy. Every detail is perfect. Live plants, fresh flowers, artwork on the walls... One of the best equipped units I've ever rented. No need to bring anything except your swimsuits. We snorkeled right out the front, you will need water shoes to get over the rocks, but once you're in water there's a large area to snorkel. We saw fish, rays, squid, even a great surprise, a seahorse! The staff was so friendly and kept everything perfect inside and out. They thought of everything. Filtered water was in the pantry and even small dispensers in the bathrooms, what a great touch. There were basic staples in pantry, salt pepper, olive oil, spices...our family of ten had plenty of dishes, glasses, and every pot or pan you could possibly need to cook with. The location is also perfect. Right out the front door you can walk on the street to restaurants and shopping. Just a short walk to the Lol Ha beach club where you can rent beach chairs and palapas. (their food isn't great) we got drinks and guacamole and chips to snack on. We walked down the beach a bit and were able to snorkel and see turtles, what a treat. I would not hesitate for a moment to rent this unit again.

Stayed Feb 17, 2024This house is amazing! It is so clean and is in a great location. Felt very safe in the house and walking around. Went for a week with my girlfriends and we had plenty of space. The host was very responsive and helped us plan a couple of excursions and secure a golf cart (highly recommend getting one for your stay, but do it in advance). Beach access is rocky, but the sandy beach is just a few minutes away. Recommend bring water shoes and snorkeling gear. The water is very calm. The view is breathtaking! Slept like a baby with the windows open and the sound of the waves. Had them come in and cook for us one night, food was great. Plenty of leftovers. There is also a restaurant just a short walk from the house. Thank you to the host and staff for making our stay so relaxing and fun.

Stayed Feb 18, 2023We love Akumal and have stayed in many places over the years. This property and both Leticia and Samuel (housekeeper, gardener) were terrific. We did have part of the house with no hot water for 3.5 days, which was not ideal, but it did get sorted out eventually. All positive; getting in the water there is not easy. Also, the pool was lovely but there is NO WAY a person who does not have perfect mobility could enter or exit the pool safely. It was not an issue for us, but notable. Gorgeous view from all rooms. Beautiful garden.

Stayed Jan 2, 2023We were in Akumal 22 years ago and were delighted to return to this wonderful place on half Moon Bay. Snorkeling is great right out of the backyard, service is wonderful, traditional building construction is a delight to study. Highly recommend.
