We have been to Akumal every summer for the last few years and this was the 1st time with Akumal Direct and their service is unmatched. The house is beyond words and the location is amazing but Akumal Direct made the entire experience top notch!

We spent a lot of time on the downstairs patio where is was the coolest with a nice breeze which made the humidity bearable but were able to retreat into cool bedroom air conditioning when it was too much. The small pool is lovely for a dip or staying wet in the heat and we got to know a number of iguanas residing around the area.Being able to walk down and hop into the cool lagoon and snorkel with the fish really was wonderful, and we did it everyday. The highlight of the vacation for a few of us. Going in early and late easily avoided the crowds and we got to know all the places where the fish were.A shout out to Merily, Obidio, and Leo who kept the house and grounds immaculate and tidy yet were so unobtrusive. Merily also did our laundry at our request for a small fee.The property Manager, Scott checked in very frequently and was very helpful with recommendations and suggestions. Communication was wonderful with the Akumal Direct team. Alex was able to coordinate us for 2 bookings for us, The Monkey Sanctuary and Snorkeling with turtles Bothe we enjoyed a lot.We highly recommend eating at the Buena Vida for lunch and dinner, we loved it there. The Jungle cafe was our breakfast spot. Rent a golf cart, you won't need you car in the local area but will easily be able to get around. Avoid the aggressive parking and snorkeling vendors on the road into town.Quiet and peaceful overall and we felt very safe in Akumal.

Absolutely loved! The rooms were all nice. Beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. The whole house was was very clean. The lagoon was so nice to swim in. We saw so many different types of fish. The water was clear. We had such a nice time. We also went swimming with the turtles at Akumal Beach. It was amazing and close to the house. We saw so many turtles and fish. The cleaning lady was so nice and very helpful giving us ideas of places to go.

We had an awesome mini reunion. My hubby and I have been in Akumal numerous times and always wanted to stay here and it was perfect! The outside area of the house was perfect and the bedrooms were beautiful too. Obidio took great care of us. We also had him and his wife cook for us one night!

This house was the base for our trip and the perfect location to unwind and relax. It made for an incredibly easy vacation! We greatly enjoyed the comfortable beds, ample indoor and outdoor lounge spaces, the beautiful decor and design of each room, the pool, private lagoon access, and 4 bikes. The staff kept the house incredibly clean and we used their private chef services one night for a delicious meal. We hope to return in the future and highly recommend to anyone looking for a gorgeous well located home in Akumul!

The access to the lagoon is a bonus (go before 10 or after 4 when everyone else is gone). We used the Chef Services for most breakfasts and several dinners and were never disappointed. The location at the end of the road makes for a private and peaceful stay.

There was plenty to do for all ages- older family members sat around the beautiful outdoor areas of the property, teenagers were enjoying the nature, swimming, got certified diving, explored the town which was very safe. The property is very special- direct access to a beautiful calm lagoon for snorkeling, where you see many schools of fish, but my favorite part was seeing the beautiful birds in the lagoon around sunset. Yal ku lagoon is also at the end of Akumal away from all of the tourists that come in for Akumal Bay. There were day tours coming to the lagoon but in the morning and especially the afternoon we had it mostly to ourselves. Yal ku lagoon was my favorite part of Akumal, although we also did some diving (dos Ojos cave diving was very cool), went to Chichinitza, and also did the recommended Santa Cruz cenote tour which was awesome. The house chefs were also great- very worth the price- really sweet couple. You can also easily walk to nearby restaurants and around the town, and we also had golf carts. The house manager was available for anything we needed. Would highly recommend and we will definitely stay here again. Not a single complaint!

We loved the abundance of outdoor living space, private access from every room to a place to sit and enjoy a view or the company of another. Love, loved the private access to the Lagoon. We really appreciated the wall murals and artful decor. We will recommend this experience to friends.

Swimming pool, waterfalllTwo kitchen, and private access to Yalku lagoon. You could spend the whole time there or walk to restaurants, my 3rd time there and at least 10 times in Akumal. 5 Star vacation
