Stayed Jan 27, 2024House is exactly as pictured: large, clean, breezy and well-appointed with amazing sea views. A/C and wi-fi worked well. Bedrooms are private from each other, nice for our group of adults. Good water pressure & comfy beds. Comfortable group areas in the main sitting room, patio, hammocks and yard - we spent a lot of time there with many visits from iguanas, crabs and birds. Well-equipped kitchen. Grocery shopping is very expensive in Akumal; better at Chedraui in larger centres or order groceries for delivery. A short walk to many nice restaurants, also easy walk to catch a cab or collectivo. Housekeeper and gardener kept the place immaculate. A few notes: The house is oceanfront but not beachfront. It is POSSIBLE to snorkel off of the rocks but quite treacherous. Better access via Half Moon or Akumal bays or Yal-Ku (all short walks but require payment). Property managers responded quickly to any reported issues. The hot water went out one day but was repaired in a few hours. The power went out for a few hours but that appeared to be a problem throughout the town, not just this house. One of the safes stopped working and could not be fixed. Laundry on site is locked. We would have paid the housekeeper do a load of laundry but were told to use the laundromat in town, which was inconvenient. Swimming pool is unheated - likely refreshing in summer months but too cold to use in Jan/Feb. Overall a wonderful stay. This house is fantastic and I'd definitely stay again.

Stayed Jul 3, 2022Great property for staying cool and spreading out family. We had 7 of us - three families and the bedrooms worked great. It was so hot that being on the water was key! Great breeze. The pool was nice to jump into, too. Found it odd that the second floor bedroom suite didn’t have a door directly to the kitchen - you had to go outside to get to it - so we didn’t even end up using it. Rosa and the gardeners were fantastic. You barely knew they were there and they did such a great job. Rosa cooked for us one night and it was really good. The nearby restaurant - Buena Vida - was convenient and good too! Great staff and food. And we could easily walk into town.

Stayed Jun 11, 2022We had 7 people. Me and my husband and 5 children (2 kids over 20 and 3 teenagers). It was fantastic. Ingrid and the staff were excellent. Ingrid responded so quickly to any inquiries we had and even came over to help us work the air conditioning. The house was gorgeous and we had plenty of space to be together when we wanted but go to our separate rooms when we wanted some quiet, I highly recommend staying here! The view was breathtaking and having some iguanas on the property was a huge bonus for our group.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969From the moment we arrived and I walked up the beautiful walkway towards the house, I was amazed, and then when we arrived at the amazing pool which leads to the front door, I knew we had selected the right house for our vacation! I did a lot of research before choosing Casa Luna, and all of the positive comments I read about the house were definitely true! It's a beautiful spot in a cute little town. We took our three adult daughters and their significant others, making for a total of 8 people. We had plenty of room with the casita out back and never felt like we were bumping into each other. The upper decks look out over the beautiful ocean, and we used the pool every day. We were surrounded by many other beautiful homes. Our housekeeper Rosa was so nice and she fixed us an amazing dinner the night before we left. The caretaker, Joaquin climbed up one of the coconut trees and picked some coconuts for us so we could drink the coconut milk. What a nice guy! The house is a short walk to town for restocking of beer, wine and tequila. We did our major shopping in Cancun at Costco and Mega Super. The house has a nice bbq on the back porch which we used almost every night. There's nothing like bbqing with a fresh margarita in your hand and the ocean breeze at your back! We went snorkeling at Yal Ku Lagoon. The snorkeling was amazing, but it was incredibly crowded when we went in the mid afternoon. (It was also Spring Break) It would be much better in the morning before the crowds come. It's a short walk from the house which makes it convenient. We also went on a cenote tour at Cenote Santa Cruz. One of the lesser commercialized cenotes, we had a great tour. In addition, it's probably the closest one to Casa Luna. If you've never been to a cenote, it's a must. You won't be disappointed! The turtles are plentiful along Akumal Bay, but you can't wear your fins there, only your mask and snorkel. We didn't see any turtles out in Half Moon Bay behind the house. It's a little hard to get into the water from the house and if it's windy (which it was), the water's choppy and not great for snorkeling. We rented a car in Cancun from Fox Car Rental and they were very easy to work with and it was nice to have a car when we wanted to take a short excursion. My only disappointment was there wasn't a sandy beach out in back of the house. Other than that, you won't be disappointed if you stay at Casa Luna. I wish I was still there!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had an excellent time here. I can't say enough the property is gorgeous, tons of space, and beautiful views. We stopped at a grocery store before arriving and stocked up, everything else we needed was within walking distance. We walked to dinner every night, shopping, snorkeling, and the lagoon. I recommend a flashlight for the evening just for visibility when walking back from dinner, etc.
