3 luxury suites with beautiful bed linens. Unfortunately, we didn’t leave our towels on the floor so ended up reusing them for many days. No shampoo or products are supplied. We didn’t use the kitchen, so can’t comment on how it is set up. Loved the pool and the beach. Great to have bikes to use.

We recently rented Dos Palmas for the second time in 3 years. We love this villa! The amenities, décor, features, staff, and attention to detail are beyond would could be described here. The new botanical garden is over the top – what a beautiful addition to the property! Whether you want to ride the surf, walk the long beach, or just relax and enjoy the huge infinity-edged pool, this is the place to stay. In addition, the property provides a true Aman experience: meticulously designed to frame its natural setting while instilling a sense of peace and belonging amid some of the most diverse natural and historical landscapes. We look forward to returning to Dos Palmas!

We are a family of 7 (children ages 24-9) who stayed at Dos Palmas the week after Christmas. From the moment we arrived, we were awed by this beautiful beach home and its spectacular ocean-side location. The spacious bedrooms, en suite bathrooms, and resort-style amenities like luxurious towels and linens made us all feel like we were staying in the master suite. The ocean breezes kept us comfortable at night and a/c was available for those who wanted it. The photographs only offer a glimpse at the architectural uniqueness of this vacation home. We knew it was going to be incredible, but it’s the beach in front of Dos Palmas that surprised us the most. We didn’t expect the beautiful sand to stretch for miles. The water is warm and knee-deep way out to where the waves break. Our 9 year old enjoyed hours of boogie boarding while his older siblings surfed in the same area with a guide…$60 per hour for an instructor who came right to the house! Troncones village is a hidden gem. It is authentic, charming and undeveloped. We felt perfectly safe walking or biking into Troncones for groceries, restaurants and services. Shopkeepers and restaurant owners in the village know Emmet and Kelly and the Dos Palmas caretakers and were always willing to share helpful advice and to extend hospitality to our family. We walked on the beach to Roberto’s several times for dinner, enjoyed organic lunches at Present Moment Resort, and became addicted to the French Press coffee and Pancakes de Abuela at Café Sol. We also utilized the well-stocked kitchen at Dos Palmas for some meals including pizzas we baked in the wood-fired oven. Abrahn, the groundskeeper, gladly made a daily run for fresh corn tortillas ($2 for a kilo!) and also found a source for fresh Dorado fillets! We would also highly recommend having Sofia prepare an authentic Mexican meal right at Dos Palmas. After a long day of travel, Sofia made us a delicious chicken mole dinner the first night we arrived…it was a perfect way to start our vacation in Troncones! Beto, the caretaker, checked in with us each morning and he arranged for activities like surfing, massages, and fishing. He is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I also enjoyed working with the owners, Emmet and Kelly. They love Troncones and are willing to provide all kinds of resources and information on how to fully enjoy a vacation at Dos Palmas. We can’t wait to come back!

Dos Palmas has created a euphoric environment. The lush landscape beautifully frames the serene surroundings: the crashing waves, the trickling waterfalls, the picturesque mountains, and the traditional architecture. Utopia is truly achieved at Dos Palmas while embodying the comforts of modern America. During our stay, we enjoyed lounging on the pool bed the warm sunshine, horseback-riding along the beach, and indulging in delicious food and drinks. We have traveled to Mexico on several occasions, and Troncones by far, is the most welcoming and appealing community we have visited. We will absolutely make another trip to Dos Palmas!

Upon entering Dos Palmas, I was instantly mesmerized by the lush, tropical (yet perfectly manicured) natural landscape. The sounds of the nearby ocean, lush fountains, and beautiful flowers magnified my senses. Every detail was attended to in this fabulous resort-like home. The space was expansive and private while maintaining the quaint quality of Mexico. I've traveled to Mexico and Europe on many occasions, and this by far, was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The multitude of activities this vacation home offered were affordable and well executed. We were able to boogie board, surf, swim, sun ourselves, fish, ride Dos Palmas bicycles, and even cook in a wood burning pizza oven, all provided by this lovely home. We also had the opportunity to gallop horses on the beach and experience a baby turtle release. Dos Palmas did not miss one opportunity or amenity to make this the perfect experience. I cannot wait to return and only hope there is not too big of a waiting line for the dates I desire!

I have been to Mexico a number of times over the years and have loved every visit! The people, food and atmosphere is one of my favorites! But Dos Palmas in Troncones was by far the most exceptional spot I have been. The accommodations are amazing. It is a the beautiful home of Emmet and Kelly and it has just that feel. A real home! Comfortable, warm and inviting. We surfed, cooked in the wood fired oven, swam in the pool and had drinks in the evening while relaxing and enjoying the company we were with. Troncones is a small town with great people shopping and restaurants all very authentic in style. It is located close to larger towns if you want to get to the market or experience a little larger feel for a day. I could go on and on but the words wouldn't do it justice! You have to experience it for yourself. If you want a truly authentic experience from start to finish this is the place I cant recommend it highly enough! We will be returning for sure!

Perfect. Just perfect. From the moment my family arrived at this house we began to relax-the view of the ocean, the infinity pool, the immaculately decorated house-it was like being in paradise. We did a great deal of exploring all over Troncones and were confident we chose well. The rock free beach in front of the home meant safe, endless boogie boarding in the incredibly warm ocean. Strolling around town or biking, visiting the lovely restaurants, taking tours with Costa Nativa-we were never bored and never felt a need to go to any of the larger resorts outside of town. The caretakers for this property also assured that the home was tidy and that all of our needs were met. Even in the face of medical emergency involving our child, everyone made sure that we were attended to, even coming to the hospital out of town to make sure we were okay. This home is perfect for a small family or three couples. It is beautiful and comfortable. Go. Just Go. I fell in love with the village of Troncones and this lovely property. Thank you Emmett and Kelly!!!

We spent the first week in April at Dos Palmas in the sweet town of Troncones and it was absolutely amazing. The photos do not do the house justice. It is so comfortable and well taken care of. It is obvious that Emmet and Kelly take a great deal of pride in their Troncones home. We truly fell in love with the home and the town. Dos Palmas is located at one end of a beautiful sandy beach with great boogie boarding just steps away. An easy walk to town and a favorite restaurant just two doors down on the beach - Robertos. Do try the coconut shrimp!! The property is lovingly looked after by Alberto and Sofia, both of whom are super helpful if there is anything you need including dinner reservations, horses back riding etc. Sofia and her lovely daughter even cooked dinner for us one night. We did visit some other towns (Ixtapa, La Saladita) while we were there, but for us, nothing compared to Troncones and the perfect beach right outside our door. We had no idea that one of the favorite activities of our group would be horseback riding on the beach. So fun to gallop through the surf. I almost forgot to mention the sea turtles that we saw coming up to lay their eggs on the beach - so cool! In an effort to increase the chances of survival for these endangered animals the folks at Robertos take care of the eggs and then release the baby turtles into the sea when they hatch. I really can't say enough good things about Dos Palmas or Troncones - we were there with another family and our three boys 11-15 and anyone of us would go back in a heartbeat.

I'll keep this short. This is one of the best vacation experiences we have ever had: The owners are truly fabulous The house is spectacular The setting is idyllic The weather is sublime (well, it was for us) It just doesn't get much better than this.

Being honest with my review only hurts my ability to return as more people will find this gem. Highlight was discovering this luxurious place in a small, less discovered village for a great price. Yet it was amazingly convenient to fly in. We were in the pool by the afternoon after leaving the dreary rain in Seattle that morning. We saw a mother turtle laying eggs on the beach at night. Further down the beach we assisted turtle hatchlings out to sea. The other direction is an estuary with colorful iguanas, birds, fauna and crocodiles. We watched from afar! Good value dining out. Dancing even! Walked everywhere. Gourmet kitchen if you choose to stay in. Surfing on a virtual empty sandy beach right in front of the property, was followed by a cold beer whilst floating in the infinity pool. Cocktail hour sunsets from the roof top deck - top five visuals on my list! Been to PV, Sayulita, Mazatlan, Acapulco. I'll be back to Dos Palmas.
