We enjoyed the experience of camping in the woods without having the sometimes noisy and obnoxious camping neighbors!
It was exactly as pictured and I loved the scenery around the camper. A herd of elk passed by the pasture on Sunday evening with approximately 100 elk and lots of little babies. And the sky??? Breathless. Perfect.
My husband and I had a good time, we were looking for a place that was peaceful and quiet and hopefully would see deer or elk. That is exactly what we got!!
Nice stay, elk bugling and convenient area for base camp
Very uncomfortable bed. We had to leave after 2 nights even though we had paid for 4 nights.
Loved everything about this rental! Gorgeous views! The elk came right into the meadow next to the RV. We listened to them bugle back and forth each night. The RV was perfect for a relaxing getaway!
Although the owner advised against it, we arrived after dark. Denise sent a map with specific instructions and we had no problem. The elk were bedded down in the meadow about 100 feet from the RV and were bugling when we arrived. Nice quiet, comfortable, pet friendly place to stay when in the Alpine area.
The area is secluded with places to roam in nature and within a few minutes drive Luna Lake is great for fishing, hiking, exploring and finding crystals to dig up. Overall we had a good time in Alpine. For a family of 4 with a dog there was just enough space and having more people might make for a tight quarters. My teenage son pitched a tent in the meadow hoping to see or hear elk during the night and had fun roughing it! The kitchen had many common items needed to cook which was great. Cooking a 12 lb turkey for Thanksgiving in a much small oven was an interesting adventure (we had to break the breast bone to flatten it a little since the oven is not too tall) and with the altitude it took longer to cook. For those that love to cook the altitude is a different animal to consider. Having never been in an RV we were unaware of where to find extra sheets, how to make the table into a bed or what to do about a tripped electrical circuit etc; unfortunately, there were no instructions or how-to-guides so we texted/called the owner several times who was able to give us information that was needed. A clearly marked driveway (painted posts or rocks) from the main road would be of great benefit since we were unsure which path to go down since the RV is not visible from the entry path/road. Fortunately the neighbors helped up, but they did not seem too pleased. Nearby Springerville is fun to visit. The Junk and Java had fantastic coffee, treats and inexpensive antique finds and is a place not to miss as well as the big general store. We did not see any elk in the area near the RV but did see deer/bucks when driving around. The fire pit made for a great place to hang out and make smores and the main house had plenty of wood to burn, but be careful about the winds which were very gusty. Denice informed us that the main house is also a rental and it looks like an great place for larger families or those who do not want to have an RV experience in the woods.
I found a place for whenever I go through Alpine. It’s clean, quiet, with amazing views and located perfectly!
Our stay was fantastic! So peaceful & quiet. The scenery is breathtaking. We didnt see Elk but beautiful bluebirds! The RV has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Denise is easily available for anything you may need or questions you may have. Private & quiet. We went fishing twice at Luna lake which was very close by. We couldn't have asked for a better spot! Thank you so much!!
Beautiful location! Everything was very clean and stocked well. Lucked out and had loads of elk wander across meadow! Relaxing!!
We had s great time! The camper was very nice. It was comfortable and had all of the necessities. It was close to the lake and town. I would recommend this property and would book again.
A unique place to get away and relax. We have never stayed in anything like this and it was just as advertised! Plenty of room for two, well equipped with everything we needed and very quiet. It was clean and comfortable we will definitely go back! The owner was easy to work with and shared good local information.
Good location. Everything was clean and working properly. Very relaxing and enjoyable time. Would love to come back again.
This place is conveniently located for people who enjoy hunting, fishing or just want to enjoy a nice private White Mountain vacation. The owner was also available and answered every question we had promptly. The RV was fully stocked and allowed us to save a trip to the store for items we forgot. It also has a nice big open fire pit for those who enjoy relaxing outside with a fire at night. I look forward on renting this property again in the future. Thank you
The owner was so nice and accommodating for us. We had a lot of privacy and our own space. We will definitely stay again.
This is a great property. The owner is very easy to contact and provides quick responses. The RV is very comfortable and well-stocked and the bed is quite comfy. The location is absolutely gorgeous! Set in the trees at the edge of a beautiful meadow. We saw elk both nights we were there (a herd of 25-30 the second night). It's a very quiet location and the weather was comfortably cool (both very important if you're coming from the Phoenix area in August!). I'd recommend it and would definitely return.
The RV was great. The area is beautiful and peaceful. It was easy to find and the owner was very helpful. I highly recommend and would stay again.
The setting for the RV was gorgeous in tall pine trees adjoining the National Forest. I am not used to RV living so the quarters were a little tight, but it was very clean and nice. We actually didn't spend much time there as we had friends that were also staying in the area so we left in the morning and didn't return until pretty late in the evening sightseeing, etc. The owner, Denise, was wonderful to work with and very helpful with recommendations for sightseeing. There were many amenities there for us that we didn't take advantage of. I would recommend these accommodations for anyone sightseeing in the Alpine area which is absolutely lovely.
The 5th wheel was comfortable and very well stocked with the necessities. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, listening to the elk bugle in the evening and seeing the large herd of elk in the meadow was unbelievable.
