The Nautical Nest is a 3 storey Edwardian property in the heart of stunning Dartmouth. This fantastic holiday home has three large bedrooms, 2 with ensuites, and a spacious open plan living area. Everything you need for your holiday is on your doorstep, with cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops, the riverfront, riverboats and great scenery a short stroll away. Jump in your car and beaches and gorgeous walks are easily reached. A true gem of a holiday home with parking permit for one car!
>The Nautical Nest is a typical Edwardian property with period features and large rooms. The entrance is off the main street and the ground floor is a useful space for storing shoes, coats and beach equipment.

Up the stairs and guests are taken to the spacious open plan living area comprising a small but well equipped kitchen, a large dining area, sumptuous lounge with large TV and a small outside space perfect for al fresco dining or that cheeky glass of wine.

On the second floor guests will find two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite. Cabin 1 has a double bed. Cabin 2 has a double bed and single bed plus a bathroom with P shaped bath and over bath shower. There is also a separate toilet on this floor.

On the top floor is a large king-sized bedroom complete with shower room and plenty of storage. A travel cot (available) can be placed in all bedrooms according to guest need.

Importantly, guests need to note that The Nautical Nest is above the highly popular and well renowned restaurant 'Andria' that offers European Cuisine. Andria is well worth visiting as the food is stunning. Booking advised

Access into The Nautical Nest is from the main street. Facing the property, the front door is to the right of the restaurant beneath. There is a keysafe to the left of the front door, the code of which will be provided 24 hours before each stay.

Guests can unload cars from outside. They then need to use the Parking Permit provided to park in nearby Mayor's Avenue car park.

Between 1st October and 30th April, on street parking in Dartmouth is currently not restricted.

From 1st May until 30th September, the Parking Permit is a necessity. The Permit must be looked after carefully as it costs a significant amount annually and if mislaid by guests, they will be charged replacement costs.

There are 3 staircases within the property and one outside decked space. Due to the number of stairs, the property may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

The Nautical Nest is our Holiday Let and we visit it frequently as we love Dartmouth and have strong family links to the area.

When guests book to stay, we are not on site but we are easily contactable by phone and happy to answer questions or sort out any issues.

We do message guests upon arrival to check all is well and we repeat the process upon departure. It is important to us that guests have a lovely stay.

If you love Dartmouth and it's buzz then you will love The Nautical Nest. Its central position and ample space are its selling points and we have tried to equip the property with everything guests should need for the perfect South Hams stay.

Once in Dartmouth a car is not essential as there is so much to do from the doorstep of The Nautical Nest.
To reach the stunning beaches and coastline however, a car is a must.
From Dartmouth, a multitude of boat trips are available as well as guided bus tours.
Kingswear, across the water, is easily accessed via the Lower Ferry. The Lower Ferry is just down the road from the property and runs regularly throughout the day.

We operate a Saturday to Saturday check in / out booking system during late Spring and throughout the Summer. We accept shorter stays outside of these times.

There is wifi throughout the property.

There is a Smart TV in the living area complete with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ and all the usual Freesat channels.

There are Smart TVs in all the bedrooms.

There is a washing machine and microwave but no tumble dryer or dishwasher.

Bedlinen and towels are provided. Beach towels are not and we do ask that our towels are not removed from the property. The towels provided are specially designed for quick drying.

All utilities are included in the fee.

There is a freezer, airer and ironing board in the cupboard on the ground floor.

With regret pets are not permitted, non shedding, quiet, well behaved or otherwise. The property is just not suitable for pets.

No smoking, candles or naked flames are allowed.

The outside space is fully enclosed and gets the sun in the morning.

We do ask that guests treat the property with kindness and respect and let us know if there are any problems.

    We have visited Dartmouth 4 out of the last 5 years and stayed in a different property each time. This is by far the best we have stayed in. The pictures are accurate (not taken to make the rooms look bigger!), the house is really clean and fresh, everything you need in the kitchen and a nice outdoor space if needed. Do not hesitate to book here.

    We are a family of 4 and stood here for a week 1st half of July 2022. Right for the start: we have had an AMAZING week in Dartmouth. Outstanding views all around! The appartment is located just in the heart of Dartmouth. Shops, Restaurants directly on the door step. As per discription it is above a Restaurant that you do notice but we did not feel disturbed by any means. Occasionaly you do hear some music or notice the smell from their kitchen - but it was absolutely no issue for us. Also no bad city noise at night or whatsoever. The appartment is fully equipped. Nothing we could think of in the kitchen that wasn‘t there. Hair driers in all bed rooms, TVs in all the bedrooms, 2x shower bathrooms plus extra toilet, etc., etc. Very handy is the parking permission on a parking ground only 4-5 minutes walk from the property, as parking in general might be difficult at certain times. Host Annie lives not nearby but was available 24/7 and more than helpful for every question that may occure. Great, great place to stay. Can only recommend. We loved it!
