Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a stunning home that was an absolute pleasure to stay in. Extremely clean and tidy, great open plan flow, everything you need provided with a lovely outdoor area and garden. The owner was very nice, helpful and hospitable. We will definitely stay again. Thanks very much for having us to stay.

Stayed Jul 20, 2025We booked The Art House, to celebrate a return to Wanaka after not having visited for a number of years and we were not disappointed. The communication with the host, Peter, was great and he went above and beyond to make our check in process easy and comfortable, even lighting the fire for us when we advised him we would be arriving late.The house itself was warm, comfortable, and very well equipped. Admittedly I thought the property would be a bit closer to town than it actually was, but that's my fault for not looking at the map properly. It's still walkable, but it's a long-ish walk. All in all we have no major complaints. The only minor niggle was that the downstairs heatpump was quite noisy no matter what setting it was on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Feb 3, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Peter’s home is the perfect location for your stay in Wānaka as everything you’ll want to see and do is an easy walk or quick drive. The beds are soooo comfortable, the kitchen was very efficient and well equipped, washer and dryer are a nice plus as is the parking carport, and there is a ton of room inside and out. One of our most favorite stays!

Stayed Jun 20, 2023First time in Wanaka and The Art House was a perfect place for it. Just outside of main town area and next to a big park. House had everything that you could need and had great spaces for relaxing especially when enjoying the fireplace!
