Relaxing, Quiet, Secluded, Dog Friendly, Beach Home near Lewes and Rehoboth

We have stayed at a lot of beach houses on the DE shore over the last 30 years and this one is now our favorite. The hosts have thought of every little detail to make the house comfortable and inviting.

Third year in a row staying at this house with our dog and two young children. Wonderful week spent in Broadkill, as always! All the amenities we could need for a relaxing and family-friendly beach getaway. We also had beautiful weather for multiple beach days, trip to the Rehoboth boardwalk, Jungle Jim’s water park, and some local breweries. My husband and I enjoyed morning runs on the beach, kids played wiffle ball in the yard, board games & movies indoors, and we took family walks with our dog through the neighborhood. We highly recommend the home and area to anyone!

We have stayed here for many years, best place you would ever vacation at. This year was one of the best, we were so relaxed staying at the beach with not a lot of crowds. And the game room is the best, we spend so much family time playing and talking. Love this place, will always vacation here. Can’t find a better place.

This was our third time staying in this amazing house. We love that it’s dog friendly, it’s very clean, and is secluded yet close enough to things to do.

Everything about our stay here was wonderful! We loved the location, and the house was very clean and organized! There were so many amenities here as well, so if you forget to pack something, Patti and Rick have you covered! Patti communicated very well and answered any questions we had very quickly. We loved our stay here and definitely will be going back!!! Don’t hesitate to book this house for your Broadkill Beach trip!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is lovely, backing up to beautiful views of the marsh—the entire back wall of the house has large windows overlooking the area. There is plenty of space for our group of 7, ranging from teenagers to young adults to grandparents; and all the different balconies and porches allowed those seeking alone time to find it. The kitchen was well stocked and organized, and we cooked at home easily several evenings. Sitting out on the back porch in the mornings, the bird identifier picked up the sounds of more than 20 birds. It’s a short walk to the beach and the views of the bay are phenomenal. There are plenty of beach chairs and other gear, including a wagon to pile everything into. We also used the bicycles and there’s an extra table which worked perfectly for jigsaw puzzles. We did have a couple of days of pesky black flies, but the natural spray the owner left kept them away. The owner was also very easy to communicate with.

Wonderful place for a family gathering!

My husband, daughter, son-in-law, and 2 grandchildren stayed here. The house was spacious and beautifully appointed with every convenience available. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice sizes. The corn hole on the deck was fun and screened in porches gave beautiful views of the refuge. We felt we were borrowing a family members house rather than a rental. Patti & Rick kept in touch to make sure everything was going well. Thank you both for the use of your house!!

This was our family’s second year in a row renting this property. Patti leaves us with such a warm welcome upon arrival. Very thorough, thoughtful, and responsive. We have everything we need when we’re there because of her setup and hospitality. Home is very comfortable and we enjoy all amenities provided. Will be back again next year! ?

The family loves this place, secluded, private. Beautiful home that Patti and Rick own. We love the game room. Secured deck for the dogs to join us. We found this place a few years ago and already have next year booked.

We were here a few years ago and had talked about it since. We decided to go back this year and it didn’t disappoint. The house is the perfect size and in a great location. We already booked again for next year.

This was our 3rd stay and every year we are greeted by the same clean, well-maintained home! The fenced in yard and deck is great for keeping our dog contained. The basement game room is great for entertainment on rainy days. The screen porch facing the marsh is our favorite spot. Very clean, well appointed-highly recommend!

My family enjoyed their stay at this home. The furnishings were comfortable, the home was clean, and the location was private but close to the beach.

The house itself is so pleasant and comfortable it’s even better than the photos. Spacious, with lots of rooms for groups and private nooks for reading, great views and tons of natural light. Game/exercise room, beach supplies and other little things provided by the host were a delightful surprise. Short walk to a beautiful quiet beach; short drive to charming town of Lewes. I’d give it six stars if I could.

This was our second stay and it was every bit as wonderful as our first. This is a very well-appointed beach property with anything and everything you would need for a great stay. The location is superb as it’s a very short walk to the beach but tucked back for quiet and less windy time outside. The hosts are very attentive and do a fabulous job of welcoming their guests. We highly recommend this property!!!!
