We have rented from Lisa and her family for the last few years, and every trip has been exceptional. This trip was our first time staying at their new home and we are already planning a return trip at the same time next year.The location is unbeatable - right on the bay with stunning water views and direct beach access.This trip was a 65th birthday celebration for my sister-in-law and she was up before all of us taking in the morning sunrise over the bay. It's been a while since she has been to the beach, and she really enjoyed herself.As we have come to expect with their homes, it is impeccably maintained and equipped with everything you need for a long weekend or a weeklong stay.Our fur babies always travel with us and the fenced in back yard along with the built in gates on the stairways made for a relaxing trip.Broadkill was recommended to us several years ago and we have only stayed at this home or their other property on Florida Avenue. Property owners/hosts like Lisa and her family are the reason we keep coming back.If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful beach house with stunning views and a cozy atmosphere, this is it.Thank you agin for everything.

Our group of six adults (plus two small dogs) had a fantastic time staying at this spacious, beach-front home. The house has a huge kitchen with modern appliances with plenty of kitchenware and dishes, cups, and utensils to accommodate a large group. The large, round dining table easily seats eight (and was perfect for working on jigsaw puzzles). All of the bedrooms face the Bay, which is an especially nice feature. The owner Lisa proactively provided helpful information about the house and was exceptionally responsive to any questions during our stay. A unique and really desirous feature of this Broadkill Beach home is the enclosed yard with a fire pit -- we did not need to lug firewood and supplies over the dunes in the dark to enjoy a bonfire.Broadkill is our favorite beach getaway. We hope to be back again soon.

This house is great for a large group! Seriously enjoyed the fenced in area in the back and direct beach access. Two large decks and lots of windows facing the bay were wonderful to sit an enjoy the water from afar. Great house layout too - enough space for everyone to spread out if they wanted but enough seating for everyone to be around the dinner table or in the living room space watching sports. The top floor game room/lounge area was also super cool and well utilized during our stay. The owners are very communicative and help you understand what to expect before arrival. Check-in, parking, and general logistics for this property are super easy. We would gladly stay again.Our only item of note is that the sunrise is very bright because the sun also reflects off of the bay. So, although there are shades, if you are sensitive to light when sleeping, you might want to bring a sleep mask with you!

The house was beautiful and the beach

Great house! Lots of room for our family of 11 to sleep, play, and relax. The proximity to our beach made our stay even better. We enjoyed the backyard (Cornhole, etc) as well. Lisa's communication was excellent. There were very few horseshoe crabs but there were jellyfish and our girls got stung on the first beach day. (The stings did not ruin our stay and both girls got back into the water. Apparently there was an increase in jellyfish along the bay and Rehoboth and down the coast.) The bay was perfectly serene and allowed for beautiful views, walks, and floats. Our only criticisms are that the house was a bit dusty here and there and had a few cobwebs. There was a gross pan left in the stove too! Some of the beds were too soft for our liking but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Broadkill Beach and we plan to return! Thank you, Lisa!

The house was perfect for our family vacation. We couldn’t have asked for a better house and host for the trip. Lisa was very communicative and the house was even better than we imagined. I highly recommend staying here!

Four adults enjoyed an off season retreat. It was everything. Lisa was great to work with and answered right away.

Easy check-in process, 3 large bedrooms sharing 2 bathrooms. There is also an alcove with 2 bunk beds and access to the deck overlooking the bay (no door but a curtain covers the opening). There is a game room on the top (4th) floor with a bayfront window view and its own full bath. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of dishes, utinsels, pots, pans, and serving ware. The coffee pot was almost smarter than we were but 4 of us eventually figured it out! 2 decks were equipped with tables and plenty of seating. The home has an abundance of games, books for all ages baby-adult, and children’s high chair and dishes. There are no linens or towels provided (kitchen or bath-don’t forget the bath mats like we did!) but we ordered the king and twin sized sheets we needed from Amazon for less than the rental companies charge. We didn’t realize we’d also need blankets but the decorative comforters worked pretty well with the great HVAC system so we were never cold (November). The fire-pit was a bonus so don’t forget your s’more skewers (grocery store is nearby). WiFi was great. Owner was quick to reply to my questions prior to the stay. We never had any real issues after we arrived so no need to contact her during the stay. We saw porpoises one morning so bring your camera!

This property is located right on the beach. When we went in late August, the beach was nearly empty and it was wonderful having a quiet, private beach trip. The home is beautiful with plenty of space and bedrooms to make a family comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would return again.

Very clean and beautifull house. Great for large families and friends. The retractable child gates on the stairs were great for our wandering toddler. Private walkway to the beach was great. Fenced in back yard beach was another plus for our toddler. Everything you need for a great vacation house.

It was a gorgeous house and the ideal private back yard and beach spot. Every amenity that you would need. Probably too many TVs if you could call that a problem. It was fabulous!

Exceeded my expectations. The house is beautiful inside and out. Out of all the places we stayed I would say (actually my kids would say) this was the best! Each room was nicely furnished, beds were comfy, all but the bunk beds were adjustable. Patio/balcony in every room so we woke up to the sun rise everyday. Beach was a few steps away. This house had everything even an enclosed space for my little dog and the kids to play without worries and there were outdoor games and fire pit! Had a blast. Lisa was very attentive and responded quickly. Thank you for having us! Hope to come back soon.
