Stayed Oct 24, 2025The property was as advertised. Large and spacious, well appointed and comfortable.Four couples stayed in the house for a long weekend of golf and a trip to Martinsville for a NASCAR race.Amy was fantastic to deal with. Quick to reply to questions and made our weekend.We will definitely consider staying here again, possible in the Spring or Summer to get the full experience. Fall colors were great!!

Stayed Oct 3, 2025Loved being so close to the New River! There was no Wi-Fi but we had good cell service. We use Verizon . We worked with Amy to plan this vacation… Etc.. She was terrific! My family wants to go back sometime in the summer. Thank you, Amy!

Stayed Jul 24, 2025Location of the house and the proximity to the river was wonderful. Plenty of space for our family reunion. Plenty of cooking space, utensils, etc. There were quite a few hornets nests and some areas weren’t as clean as they could be. We would definitely come back!

Stayed Oct 18, 2024This property is great for a group to gather. There is everything you can think of as far as kitchen supplies and cooking utensils. We cooked a lot during our stay. The table is nice and big to have many people gathered around the table and there is enough seating for 8 people at the dining room table, and the covered porch has a table that can seat 4 people. We laughed a lot and had a good time with each other. The fact that there is no internet, lends itself to being totally unplugged. The TV works nicely in the main area. It would be nice if there were TVs in the bedrooms, but it didn't detract from our stay at all. The river is beautiful every morning, and the fog makes it very picturesque. the family is talking about when are we coming back next year. Most of us were senior adults, so we will have to wait awhile to book to make sure everyone is going to be able to come, but barring that, we are ready to return.

Stayed Jul 26, 2024The location and property is wonderful. Overall a nice place with lots of room for everyone. I would suggest that instructions for tv be clearer,light switches were confusing. An easy access to the river would be great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend for family or group stays.

Amy our host was wonderful to deal with (small problem, fixed right away). We will definitely be returning!! The Hogge's, The Surber's and the Simpson's (Missing the Lyon's this year)
