Private, Gorgeous Retro Style A-Frame is Steps from the Beach Near Newport!

The house was clean with easy beach access and such a unique style!

The location of this property doesn't get any better. Beautiful views, great house. We were very happy with our stay.

Easy access to the beach and the hot tub were kids favorite. Communication with management was easy and they were kind and helpful with any questions..

I was going back and forth between giving this rental 3 stars or 4 stars. On one hand, we enjoyed our stay. The house is one in from the beach and there are private stairs that take you down. It is located just off 101 but we didn’t really notice any noise. The rental was nicely decorated and had mostly comfy furniture; the beds were slightly uncomfortable but your own bed is always going to be the best so I can’t fault that. The hot tub was over-chlorinated but was still lovely and is clearly being upkept. The location was great, about 10 minutes south of downtown Newport and 20 minutes from Yachats. What we thought to be quirks of a beach house rental turned out to build up into neglect of the property. It started with a lack of utensils/tools when we attempted to make meals. That’s fine, we improvised. But then we realized there was significant water damage along the doors and windows, sheets were stained and needed replacing, facets were leaking and needed attention, furniture was broken. Someone had stomped a hole in the vinyl flooring in the kitchen and instead of fixing it, a rug was thrown over, creating a potential trip hazard. We then discovered mouse poop under the kitchen table. Because there were a few of us staying, these things might have amounted to a higher rating but if only one or two people were there, I would be incredibly upset about the state of the house for what you have to pay to stay in it.

Bedding was very clean.Hot tub bottoms worn so hard to function but maintain team came to help a little bit after. One electrical outlet in the kids room was missing a cover plate. You need to bring oil and other cooking material like foil and plastic wrap. The location is great. Kids had fun.

After a rocky time trying to find the house, we had a nice weekend. The main issue was no cell service at the house. Once we were checked in, and connected to wifi, it was fine. But the gps link from VRBO did not take us to the right house, and we had to drive 10 mins to get cell service to figure out the issue. Then we went back and could not find the lock box in the dark and again had to drive 10 mins to somewhere with cell service to work it out. It was a dark and stormy Oregon Coast night, so that did not help either. Anyway, to prevent confusion for future guests, be prepared for no cell service at first and bring a flashlight if showing up in the dark. Or, maybe the owner could put a motion light outside and let people know in the ad about the cell service issue. If they mentioned it we did not see it, so possibly our bad. Beyond that, the house was nice enough, the beach access was lovely, and we enjoyed the hot tub.

If I could buy this house and live here, I would. Tastefully updated, surprisingly spacious, and steps from a glorious and empty beach. This was everything we wanted in a vacation rental!

Loved this house! Great location. There’s a little more wear and tear on the house than the pictures show, but overall it’s a beautiful and comfortable house.

Check in was a cinch. Property was clean and proper , minus the hot tub which was sandy but unusable anyway since it never heated up properly. Property does have a few minor issues that could be addressed, floor in the kitchen has damage, the top of the sliding glass door has water intrusion damage, and the clothes dryer takes a lot of time to dry clothes. And we could never get the hot tub to an acceptable temperature for us to use unfortunately. The grill being out of propane was disappointing, wish we would have checked it prior to shopping for steaks. Also we should have reached out for possible resolutions to our issues, it was just a busy weekend for us. Overall it was a very relaxing environment and we were pleased with the property. The outlying location was very satisfying. And yet just a short drive to town for anything we might need. The A-Frame structure and basic layout of the property worked great for our party. (2 adult couples) The short walk down to the beach was one of our favorite highlights. Nice size deck and fire pit was also very enjoyable. Basically had all the kitchen amenities that we could need. Beds were comfy, and the couches were mostly comfy as well. Heated bathroom floor was a pleasant surprise. The hot tub not heating properly was really the main letdown for us , mainly because it was an amenity we were really looking forward to, but overall we had a wonderful experience and a great weekend. We would most definitely enjoy staying here again.
