Pet friendly home with bay views! 1104 S Bayshore Avenue

The location is amazing. The inside of the house was mostly clean, but the outside (including decks) was dirty and worn out.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Year #2 in a a row of staying in this unit! Very spacious and quiet location. Love the BKB corner store! I will say last year we experienced no mosquitos but this year, even walking to the car was terrible! The last night we were there, the aerial spray was done and by the morning we left there were no more bugs. Next year we may need to plan our stay around the spray schedule! We wish the screened porch was repaired/rescreened so we could have enjoyed more outdoor time. Truly created beautiful memories at this unit. Proximity to Rehoboth and Lewes made for a vast amount of activities!

House was nice a few things were different from pictures didn't like that you went in garage area and then came out in the open area so if it rains you get wet a lot of levels and stairs. very nice views but property in front of house is for sale so the view would be gone if a house goes there.Our realtor was excellent as usual

I attempted to wash a dirty/moldy twin size blanket from the house. The washer wouldn't turn on and the door wouldn't open back up. The rental agent blamed the broken washer on me. He told me the washer couldn't hold something that big and that's why it broke. If you're not supposed to a wash blanket, there should be a note stating what you can or can't put in the washer. The rental agent told me I could go to the laundry mat while I'm on my vacation or ask for a refund. I chose the refund, which I never saw. I was surprised that kitchen on the 1st floor didn't have a dishwasher or microwave. Also, it would be nice if the sliders and windows had screens. But the much bigger problem of the house is the water damage and mold on the garage ceiling. The water is continuously leaking from the ceiling onto the garage floor. Apparently this has been going on for a long time because there's A LOT of mold on the ceiling of the garage! This really needs to be fixed immediately. It's a lovely home and we would love to stay here again, but this major problem needs to be fixed over the winter.

Great location for a quiet relaxing trip. Communication with rental agency was great. House needs a few updates, but overall was nice. 2 kitchens was a plus. Great views from the home, beach was clean and calm for the little kids. We did a bonfire on the beach, fished, swam!15-20 minutes to Rehobeth if you want to go into town or to outlets.

It was great to have this layout so people could spread out and feel comfortable. Areas was very quiet and views were very nice. Only downside was it was a bit hard to get to Lewes and Rehobeth from the property so everything we did took a little bit of time and lots of traffic. Just something to be prepared for but overall was a very nice stay.

The floor plan of the house was perfect for us. The vacation was good, except for my fishing trip at Fisherman's Wharf in Lewes, Delaware, where I paid 140 dollars for no fishing.I would recommend this place to stay in, quiet but near to things to do.

Reviewer Comments: I felt like I was renting an Air BnB not one managed by a real estate company. The house was chintzy and there was a lot of damage when we got there. It doesn’t have the best access to the beach and while it claims to be “beach front” there is actually a lot in front of it so a house could go up at anytime. Pet friendly but not great for letting dogs out. The “enclosed” entry way actually doesn't have a closed in roof so if it rains everything gets wet and it really smells like low tide. Queen bed has a double mattress making master bed uncomfortable, upstairs washer didn’t work, and real estate agent wasn’t very empathetic, he just said “we don’t own it, we just rent it.” It was good enough but spend your money elsewhere.
